El Sonesta Hotel Cusco se encuentra a menos de 1 km del centro de la ciudad y a solo 8 minutos en coche del aeropuerto Velasco Astete. Todas las habitaciones ofrecen vistas a la ciudad o a la montaña.... Todo, la habitación, el desayuno, la ubicación y por sobre todo la atención de su personal. Muy recomendable.

Everything was very tidy and you could tell, that Michael, the owner, payed a lot of attention to detail. The location was great, with Plaza de Armas only a short stroll away.. Breakfast was delicious and unique and honestly, I have never tasted a better cappuccino in the whole of Latin America and I have traveled there a lot! Everything was prepared with much love and you could tell that Michael is a chef. Michael is such a warm, welcoming person, that, during my one night stay made me feel so at home. He even made it possible for me to have a very early check in at 10:00 am! He went above and beyond helping me to organize my further trip m, etc: “Thank you very much Michael for everything you did for me.” I can only recommend his great place to fellow travelers!

Refugio de Mery Lucmabamba está establecido en Sahuayacu, a 17 km de Huayna Picchu, a 19 km de Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary, así como a 19 km de Manuel Chavez Ballon Museum. What a fantastic place. Yes it is a little hike up a hill, but we were received with warmth from the owners and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Three of us stayed in the refugios, and our two camping mateswithout a booking were given a safe place to pitch a tent. The rooms were extremely comfy, with many blankets and had an emsuite bathroom with endless hot water. Outside the room is a lovely balcony with massage rollers, exactly what was needed this stage in the trek. The food was the best food I have had on salkantay, very veg and vegan friendly. There are coffee tours on site and a little store that sells the cheapest bread and fresh fruit/veg.when we left Mery gave us all Oreos and a banana for the road.

Still improving and keen to get better but the view and family atmosphere with dogs and cats. small children and resident alpacas and Llamas roaming around made it memorable. Joelle the owner even drove us back down to Chincero for free.
