Breakfast, even though in a different building close by, was also delicious with multiple savory and sweet options. The room was spacious, with enough equipment to make your own food in the studio if you want. The bed and the pillows we also comfortable and the small terrace of the room gives enough space to relax after your excursions.

Guests can also relax the spa & wellness centre where a sauna and massage therapies are provided. I was looking forward to staying at this place - and It didn’t disappoint me! Stylish, modern, great architecture perfectly built-in the surrounding nature, featuring cool colorful details. The room was great, the view - amazing! I liked the outdoor pool a lot, as well as hot tub with 180* view on the ocean. I also spotted try yoga studio there - will try next time. The staff is very friendly and helpful, check-in and checkout are quick and smooth. The breakfast is amazing, featuring buffet and menu.

Its elegantly-furnished rooms offer a balcony and cable TV. Everything was wonderful, in terms of location, staff, food, cleaning. Everything SPOT ON. Set in Machico, S A L - Beach Apartments Caniçal is a recently renovated accommodation, 22 km from Santana's Traditional Houses and 30 km from Marina do Funchal. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 500 metres from Beach Pedradeira. The guest house features family rooms. Clean, new, comfortable, central to the town. Pedro was kind, welcoming and endlessly helpful, responding very quickly to messages. He even wished me a happy birthday and arranged for a free upgrade to the best room with a sea view free of charge. When I got to the new room, there was a bottle of wine, chocolates, biscuits and a personalised birthday card waiting for me. Couldn't quite believe the attention to detail and kindness offered to me! What a lovely place to stay. Highly recommend.

Good location for exploring north side of the island. Very clean, comfortable beds and you will find everything you need for your stay. We were even greeted with a nice bottle of wine, pleasant surprise.

Super, super clean, well appointed accommodation with ocean views, wild style garden and all the amenities necessary for a comfortable, relaxing family stay. Great host who was easy to communicate with. The only drawback for a person who is mold sensitive like myself was the humidity smell in the downstairs bedroom. Something that seems to be pretty ubiquitous on an island with so much water everywhere.
