Beds were comfortable but I am used to a very firm mattress. So I suppose I would find most others on the soft side. The location close to the little town and shopping centres of Hazyview which has first class shops like a Woolworths Food where you can buy excellent provisions for a braai or whatever you are planning. Although Hazyview has expanded a lot over the past 30 year since Thulamela was established, this small intimate little B&B with only 6 cabins retains its character and tranquility. Penny, the owner and host is perfect as are the staff, Julia and the lady who brought us our delicious breakfast. Not a cooked breakfast but delicious.

Great location: Far from the messy part of Komatipoort, but close enough to be where the shops and restaurants are. I alway had the idea that Komatipoort was loud and with a lot of movement, but it was amazing being in this spot, hear the water flowing in the garden, relaxing while looking at the beautiful little animals around...(monkeys, birds,...) and being so close to Kruger's Crocodile Bridge Gate. Beautiful House: Big, high ceilings, beautiful woodwork and design. Every door, table and wardrobe were a work of art. Lots of space. Great place to stay for longer periods of time. Amazing Staff: From the manager to the guard, everyone was really polite and helpful, always looking at our comfort first. Was able to pick up and drop off the keys without any stress. And even had to go back a few days later to pick up a bag that was forgotten by one of my friends, and everything went really smooth. Definitely recommend and would go back there.
