Super place to stay. Great value for money Room was homely, clean and comfortable. Gwendoline was a great hostess and made sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We had an evening meal which was beautifully presented, delicious and good value. You could have brought your own food and ate it in the communal dining area or in the garden on the patio outside your room. Safe and secure parking for car and bikes. Conveniently situated for Nevers town centre and an enormous Internarche. Pool available for cooling down. This is a friendly, family run business and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We loved every single second spent at the château! Such an amazing place for charging your batteries in the middle of nature. The caste itself is gorgeous, and I've never met staff more friendly than at this place! Will definitely come back!

Fortunately for us the owner of the property was there, he can communicate in English. He went out of the way to help us and make us comfortable. He along with his colleague Angelica treated us like their own. The room was like an apartment with stairs to go on top. The apartment has a kitchen, bedroom, big bathroom and living room. If you observe everything including the paint, artifacts and furniture are chosen to go with a theme. Everything has been kept with lot of emotions and love. It can be felt... The owner will come twice a day to ensure we are Good and not facing any issue. He was very kind to ensure we are taken care during the entire time of stay. He had to leave for his home a day earlier to our departure but he ensured the staff takes care of us till the time we leave. They ensured we enjoyed our stay at Nevers. They arranged taxi, made reservations for us at the local French cuisine. They also guided us to nearby grocery. We bought groceries for us and cooked at the apartment kitchen. The utensils were cleaned and kept in an organized manner. Our objective was to spend good time in France country side and trust we could enjoy each seconds of our stay. We went to local vi eyard at Saucere. It was very emotional for me to leave the place may be because we did lot of things that we planned. Vacation is all about spending quality time with family and we could achieve thanks to the host and his team. Out of the entire trip I belive the days we spent at Never was best.... Thanks to the entire team of La Croix...

Super welcome despite a very late arrival. The bedroom was big and very comfy with all what is needed. Large bed and shower room. Huge tv with cable channels. Nice goodies with water, coffee and locally made chocolate cookies ! The breakfast (taken on the large dining and salon room, with a beautiful fireplace!) was really nice with homemade jam, croissants and bread and cheese kindly offered. Not to mention that the owner was really welcoming and smiling. The swimming pool is not operational at this time but it will be a perfect spot in summer time, for sure ! Anyway… a great spot for a night or much more !!

Arrived late afternoon and did not leave, so can't really say anything about the area it's located. Can say that parking was easy and plenty spacious. The accomodation itself was in great condition and the themed rooms are fun, spacious and in good condition. The owners are exeptionally friendly and really give you a homestay feel. The prepared dinner and included breakfast where fantastic. Last but not least the swimming pool was in great condition.
