From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and valued; the General Manager greeted us personally, we were offered complimentary drinks, and enjoyed a wonderful tour of the hotel. Our room was beautifully appointed, featuring an incredibly comfortable bed, breathtaking views from our balcony, and exquisite finishes throughout. It exceeded our expectations in every way. Breakfast at Il San Pietro was a dream. The buffet offered an impressive selection of fresh, high-quality options, with something for every taste. From pastries and fruit to local delicacies, everything was beautifully presented and delicious. We especially loved the personalised touch – anything we requested, from perfectly poached eggs to delicate crepes and excellent espressos, was made on the spot. It was the ideal way to start each day, with fresh, varied options and stunning views to match. A standout highlight of our stay was the complimentary boat ride to Amalfi, where we enjoyed a picturesque swim in crystal-clear waters. The hotel’s amenities are equally outstanding, from the scenic outdoor gym and tennis court with a view to the exclusive beach club nestled against the cliffs – each detail truly exceptional. Every aspect of our experience at Il San Pietro was curated to perfection, seamlessly blending luxury with genuine hospitality. From the world-class service to the awe-inspiring setting, this was, without a doubt, the best hotel experience of our lives. We left feeling rejuvenated, pampered, and already planning our return. Honestly, this is the kind of hotel that makes it hard to even want to explore anything outside of it. Il San Pietro is a true gem, and we can’t recommend it highly enough.

The hotel is absolutely the best choice in Positano! Built in 1955, it retains the classic feel while being in perfect condition. The ocean view room is the best in the area , a view of the cliffs and ocean is stunning day and night. The staff are some of the nicest and most professional people you'll see in the hospitality sector. I can't thank them enough. The rooms are large and beautiful. The restaurant and poolside lounge is one of the best views in the area ....I would recommend it for people not staying in the hotel as well. Food and service was absolutely amazing! If you plan to visit the area, then Positano is the best spot and Poseidon is definitely the best hotel. I'm booking the same hotel and room in my next visit without even thinking.

What an amazing place to spend our holidays! Vincenzo and Antonella spoiled us with their fantastic hospitality. Breathtaking views, extremely clean house with all amenities that we needed, sparkly swimming pool, and parking which is nearly impossible in Amalfi Coast. They also helped us to plan our days with the best tips and contacts around the coast. We definitely recommend them.

The location is amazing right on the edge of town with the best view (5 min walk to the busiest part of positano). The hotel has a private beach with sun loungers free of charge which is next to a beach club with a good vibe serving nice cocktails. It also has swimming pool facilities, the restaurant food is exceptional (although hot breakfast options could have been better), lovely wine selection and nice spacious rooms (with jacuzzi bath). Team are very sweet too. Parking cost is also reasonable and onsite.

lovely spacious and well equipped apartment. All the little details typical of a great hotel ,were considered and included such as beach towels , coffee machine etc. it was much quieter up so high so a lovely escape from the crowds and bathe the of the day with that stunning view and gorgeous swimming pool. Most importantly Clemy our host was so sweet and thorough with everything she did to help us settle in. We would definitely come back.
