The owner of this property is incredible. She has tried to think of every little detail that a traveller may need and make them as comfortable as possible. While it may not be an idyllic location for the majority of your stay in Sri Lanka it is perfect for arrival or departure if you just want to relax before / after your journey. Maybe it would also be suitable for those spending more time in Columbo as it is only about 45 minutes from the city centre. The host has a caretaker who is amazing. He keeps the property in perfect condition. He also escorted us to the shared pool within the gated community and most surprisingly, after ordering food to be delivered, he set the table and actually plated up everything and served us in 5* standards. Once we were finished he cleared away the table so silently we didn’t even know he had been. 100% you must try to stay here when near Columbo.

We stayed at La Costa Hotel for one night and absolutely loved it! It’s a new and beautiful hotel with very friendly and kind people. Our room was big, clean, and comfortable. The reception area is lovely with a nice seating area and a pool. We loved everything about our stay and will definitely come back when we’re in Sri Lanka again
