The property is absolutely gorgeous. When you enter from the main door you find yourself in front of a big clean pool, surrounded by a curated big garden with palm trees and beach view. You are literally on the beach where nobody walks by, but some local fishermen. The bedrooms are very big, with each it’s own big bathroom. Also, for the whole stay we had a great local butler who stayed at the villa and was always ready to help. He made us breakfast every day. He drove us to do groceries and cooked lunch for us. He booked us restaurants and arranged taxis when we asked for it. Including two masseuses who came to the villa to massage us. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and we wished we stayed longer 🙏

This hotel was simply the best stay ever! From the moment we arrived, everything was beyond amazing. The hotel is brand new, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed, with modern, stylish rooms and pristine bathrooms. We had a room right next to the pool (yes, there are actually two pools!), making it feel like a private paradise. One of the biggest highlights was the breakfast – hands down the best on Earth. Every single day, we were treated to a different, incredibly delicious, and rich selection of food, showcasing a mix of local and international flavors. We couldn’t get enough! The owners are absolutely wonderful. The host is super friendly, and his wife is the sweetest person ever. She even made us healthy cocktails and packed a homemade lunch for our long journey, which was such a thoughtful touch. Their kindness made the experience even more special. The location is peaceful and stunning, tucked away in a quiet, lush area. However, it’s very easy to reach the beautiful beaches of Tangalle with a quick tuk-tuk ride or by renting a scooter (which we did, and it was so much fun exploring the area!). Even though we skipped the touristy turtle-watching tours, we were lucky enough to see a baby turtle hatching and making its way to the sea while on a walk – such a magical moment! The bed was super comfy, the AC worked perfectly, and we loved relaxing on the private terrace attached to our room. Every single detail was carefully thought out to create an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for an amazing stay with warm hospitality, the most incredible food, and a perfect location, look no further. I 100% recommend this place and would come back in a heartbeat!

Closeness to the main turtle Beach and Rekawa Turtle association, 5 mins walk. Beautifully kept gardens the rooms look onto. Amazingly designed and thought out rooms for such a small area....no one overlooks each other, so you have lots of privacy.. Huge comfy bed and massive walking shower in the bathroom. Many lights to create your own ambiance. Loved our patio with wooden chairs and a separate large table where breakfast is served. Where we watched plenty of birds each morning. Ceiling fan rotated well and air-conditioning was super cold and powerful, rarity on our travels in SL. Decent fridge too. Fantastic local restaurant run by a sweet family called Ruwani 2 mins,walk away. Lastly the owner Tatoo kept us happy with cold cheap beer and water.

You feel you are close to nature. Lodge feels new and fresh. Bathroom is nice, a European standard, so not common. But most of all owner and manager give each tourist attention and are open to help. We had a great dinner at the lodge, so it’s worth trying, owner is a man of many talents. Last but not least pool is well maintained and water felt great like silk. Beach is close by, waves were crashing hard but if you swim further it’s calm.

We had beautiful stay at this amazing place. Personal was always here and helpful, arranged for us tuktuk and bird watching tour. The room was amazing, clean, spacious, comfortable, we were upgraded for free. Ever day nice breakfast- different options available. Long Beach with palms and minimum people. If you get behind the waves, you can swim there. But best for long walks. Few beach restaurants nearby with fresh fish. Calm and peaceful, ideal if you want to get away from the crowds and just spend time with the sea and yourself.

My partner and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Omia Hotel for five nights, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was serene and welcoming. The hotel is exceptionally quiet, with no disturbances or noise, which made it the perfect retreat. We stayed in a bungalow right next to the pool, and the respectful nature of the other guests added to the peaceful ambiance. It felt like a little slice of paradise. The beach was truly breathtaking—untouched and pristine. We could walk along the shore for 30 minutes without encountering another soul. It’s the most peaceful and unspoiled place I’ve ever visited, making it a dream destination for anyone looking to disconnect and recharge. The staff at Omia were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. And the food—wow! The authentic Sri Lankan dishes were bursting with flavor. I highly recommend trying them; every meal was a delight. If you’re looking for tranquility, natural beauty, and warm hospitality, Omia Hotel is the place to be. We can’t wait to return!

We had such an amazing experience during our three-night stay. Location : Hotel is perfectly located, away from roads and city. It is not in heart of Tangalle, but it is what we liked, being in full nature, isolated from rush. Everything is accessibl with tuktuk, or you can rent a scooter through the hotel (that was we did for 3k rs per 24h). Several beaches and views around the hotel in walking distance. We chilled at the hotel, few intimate spots with sofa, sun beds, mostly with shade we need. The pool is incredible. A bit of Azulejos style. Room : Our room was perfect, clean, very good wifi, best room view ever with a 240° on the ocean. Huge balcony, very large, comfy bed, good bathroom installations. Robust and recent air conditonning, with a silent night mode. Big cooling roof fan working well and silent as well. Food & service : Hotel staff is kind and professional. A high level of hospitality service. Varied food, at reasonable price, which is not the case everywhere around. We had few lunches and dinners there. Finally, breakfast is delicious, with full of options : fresh fruits, different teas, coffees, even expresso (we didn't try, because we asked only tea during our stay in Sri-Lanka, Sri-Lankan style with different options, oat & fruits like a DIY porridge, pancakes, freshly break with butter and jam (good quality product, tasty). We are vegetarian, so we had many options there.

    This house and the location is absolutely stunning. Quiet beach, beautiful pool and it actually feels like you in paradise. The housekeeper and cook were AMAZING. They cooked us delicious food, did our washing, went shopping with us and made our stay very special

    The villa and pool is stunning with great view of ocean. There is a cook and housekeeper available. We took them food shopping and they cooked us the most amazing Sri Lanka seafood curry's and breakfast.

    Lovely villa with spacious bedrooms and a nice living room and terrace facing the pool and the garden. Very convenient with kids. The beach is almost all yours and pretty but the waves are huge so young kids cannot swim by themselves. Location is remote which is good and bad (beautiful nature but a bit far away from places to visit - except Udawalawe Park and Mulkirigala temple which are easy to reach and both amazing to visit). Philip and Dushantha are very nice and were adorable with the kids.
