If you are in Leon take the time to spend a few days at Las Peñitas at Nuevo NAYAL! It’s stunning and beautifully designed. Everything feels new! The spanish couple who set up this place are so kind and welcoming. They have created a true oasis to escape the heat of the city and I couldn’t have had a better 3 nights stay here to round off my trip in Nicaragua. The food is brilliant as well at the restaurant. I ate all my meals there as they were too good! And the staff went out of their way to help me with laundry and tours etc. It’s definitely one of the best, if not the best place to stay in Las Penitas.

I loved the cabin, the place, and the atmosphere. Everything was very comfortable and well-maintained. The place was clean, well-located, and had everything needed for a pleasant and relaxing stay. I really liked the hospitality, the comfort of the room, and the tranquility of the place. Everything was excellent, I would definitely come back.

The staff was so personable and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and we made very good use of the pool! It was so close to all the sites we wanted to see and had a perfect stay in Leon with our two kids. Would definitely come back!

Bed sheets were extremely soft, each bed in the dorm had its own quiet fan. A very relaxing vibe with lots of hammocks in the shade. Breakfast was great with 3 options to choose from and served from 7:15 to 10am. Staff were all friendly and helpful, and are happy to assist with information about the city/booking tours. Large lockers under the beds in the dorms, hooks on the walls for towels, and bedside tables at each bed.
