This is a great place for a family vacation. Quiet, but fully equipped. There is a wonderful bakery on site with delicious coffee and pastries. There is no problem to park the car if you have booked a room with parking. Easy check-in using a machine

It was a big property as we were 10 people and there was lot of space including multiple toilets which makes it very convenient.

Lovely period hotel with so much history and facilities. Given room as requested, corner with two windows, nice view. Light and airy, comfortable, quiet. Fridge in room. Good breakfast, more than adequate variety. Lucky to get a park directly in front of the hotel. Central location, railway station nearby.

This hotel is 10 minutes’ walk from Geilo Train Station. It offers a gym, sauna and pool. Free WiFi and private bathrooms are standard in Highland Lodge’s individually decorated rooms.

Staff were excellent. I had a medical emergency on my last night and they were incredibly helpful and went over and beyond expectations to make sure I was alright. (I have visited many hotels in my time and this is the only review I have ever completed as I feel the staff deserve recognition. i do not remember names but the staff that helped me was a man and a woman both possibly in their 20s, I think the man said he was from Denmark. If anyone from the hotel reads this please pass on my thanks) Also, the food from the bakery and restaurant was amazing!
