The location and views were spectacular. We really enjoyed dinners at l'Inevitável restaurant. The dishes were locally inspired but with a modern take. Delicious! The staff were friendly, helpful, professional and could speak English. The pool area was gorgeous too. Beautiful grounds during the day and at night. Loved how quiet and peaceful it was. We also greatly enjoyed the wine and port tastings. Beautiful venue and fair prices.

The room was great with a comfortable bed and soft linens, a spacious bathroom - quiet and serene. The setting is incredible. The property was extremely well maintained and the view is lovely. What stood out to us even more was the staff that constantly went above and beyond during our stay. After a long day visiting the region, we were able to get an assortment of snacks later than the usual window of availability, which allowed us to eat dinner in a phenomenal setting. We wish we could have stayed longer and could not recommend it enough.

    The location of this hotel is stunning, offering panoramic views of the Douro Valley from both the rooms and the swimming pools. As it was harvest time we took up the opportunity of the grape picking experience. It was a great morning, hosted by knowledgeable staff and ended with tasting their great wines.
