Location wise it is a short drive to Funchal, and around 30min drive to the airport. It is good location to go both east and west of the island for day trips. Spacious and well appointed two bedroom apartment, with all what you need. Super comfortable beds and a good variety of pillows (very appreciated!). We stayed in December so the temperature was perfect without heating. Lovely and helpful personnel. A lot of free activities for the whole family (indoor and outdoor children playground, ping pong, pool, board games, books and even dvd to borrow!). The hotel has a lot of facilites on offer, including a spa and various other activities which we enjoyed a lot. The swimming pool was heated which was also nice (being there in November). It was just 2 of us but we had a huge appartment with a terrace overlooking the ocean which was incredible. This was really an amazing retreat! I'd definitely go there again!
