We liked the area. It was peaceful and quiet, but it was easy enough to catch a bus to Funchal. Mike, the manager, was very helpful and kind. We liked the apartment, which had everything we needed and we enjoyed using the pool.

I spent a week in Madeira at the end of April, travelled solo. I looked for accomodation close to Funchal, but out of the city, so I choosed Suites Pinto Coelho. The double comforted, traditionally furnished house located close to Cristo Rei has two bedrooms with double beds, two bathrooms and a large kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped, suitable even for cooking. The property had everything I needed, it was relaxing to chill by the pool in the nicely maintained garden. Fucnhal easely can be reached by bus, bus stop can be found close to the entrance of the house, accessible by a secret gateway. :) Food store, bars, coffee shops and restaurants are available in the close vicinity. The house runs by Teresa, a kind and helpful lady. She was like my mother during my stay, she wanted always be sure that I have everything to feel myself the best. She even provided me with coffee capsules, snacks, fruits and some water and she offered me spectacular programs. Without her assistance my stay wouldn't be as perfect as it was.

    I liked a bit outdatet style of the room, bed was comfy, towels changed, balcony to relax. Quiet during night. Nice hotel area, one indoor swimming pool and two outdoor - rather to relax than swim. A few small shops and cafes around. Bus connetion to Funchal and other places of the island ( a bit further).

    the location , very close to Cristo Rei trail and Garajau beach where you can do amazing snorkelling and diving; the property is close to everything you need but in the same time not in a crowded area but in a peaceful location, the lovely gardens spread out, the warm indoor swimming pool .
