Everything was perfect and beyond amazing! Photos don’t do it’s justice for sure. We didn’t know what to expect when we booked it without much planning and not knowing about the area as we’re on our road trip from Uk to Croatia. Saw the listing on Booking.com and the place looked exactly how we like and what we wanted for a while but couldn’t find elsewhere. Chalet sofija is nestled among the peaks of the Jura alps. Standing so grandly but so well blended in with the natural beauty around the mountains, we were blown away by it’s gorgeous architecture and tasteful decor and complete luxurious feel the moment we walked into the chalet. This is a super prime luxury property! When we arrived, we were greeted by the host and owner of chalet sofija Alessandra and her beloved dog Tracy. We have two dogs with us and they were delighted to have met new friends. The moment we walked in our jaws dropped by breathtaking view of the mountains with wide deck and infinity swimming pool which is heated 30 degree over looking the mountains and there are sauna and spa also looking over the magnificent view. Pope the owner and Alessandra definitely design so carefully and with no expense spared to make the most of benefits that the mountains give. There are big windows everywhere you’ll have panoramic view from every part of the chalet. Rooms- I almost cried when we walked into our room which also has panoramic view. it’s beyond my imagination how beautiful this huge room. Love how luxurious but at the same time you feel like you’re so close to nature. From the small amenities to super tech built in TV and remote controlled blinds system if necessary to have deep sleep. We also enjoyed fine dining experience by Pope who is renowned restauranteur in Slovenia. Breakfast & dinner both absolutely amazing we felt so pampered while we stayed. With it’s one of a kind view and style, I’m sure the season doesn’t matter!

What a beautiful place to stay. We had the attic for four days. Beautiful views and the sound of the nearby waterfall from the balcony was an added bonus. Super clean, lovely room. The owners were lovely. Can't complain about anything. Hope to come back again!

Small train station adjacent to hotel made for a convenient (and Old World) arrival. Breakfast was a choice of gourmet dishes; dinner was an array of local and seasonal dishes. Wine tasting was beyond my expectations. View was an ever-changing panorama of the lake. When it was dry, it was an easy walk to Bled along the lake path, an easy 30 minute walk to the Gorge and about two hours to walk around the entire lake. When it rained, I spent lazy days enjoying the indoor pool, sauna and cozy bar downstairs (best place to read) - all of which had unobstructed views to the lake. Staff were wonderful; facilities and room were immaculate yet homey (this is the only hotel I've stay at with Persian rugs in the elevator). It was like being a pampered guest at a family estate.
