From the moment we stepped through the door, The See Anemoon Self-Catering exceeded every expectation and set a new standard for what a carefree coastal stay should feel like. Incredible, unobstructed ocean views that turned the sunset into a small miracle. A pristine, beautifully clean space that instantly makes you feel at home. The surrounding area is peaceful and picturesque, perfect for relaxing evenings on the terrace or leisurely strolls along the nearby paths. The place is spotless and impeccably maintained, with a tasteful, calming decor that enhances the sea-side vibe. It has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay: well-equipped kitchen (and a coffee machine), comfy living areas (with a bar), and thoughtfully arranged bedrooms (super comfy beds). Accessibility to essentials and little conveniences throughout the space made it easy to settle in from day one. The owners are incredibly friendly and genuinely hospitable—warm and attentive Their local tips and thoughtful touches made us feel like honored guests, not just visitors. Communication was seamless, from booking to check-out, with a personal touch that’s rare to find. The accommodation genuinely over-delivered on our expectations. It felt generous—like the kind of place where every detail has been considered to ensure a relaxing, joyful stay. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning our next visit. The See Anemoon Self-Catering is a beautiful, clean, and well-equipped haven with breathtaking views, effortless comfort, and hosts who go above and beyond. The Host was warm, welcoming and attentive. I went for work but to also explore the area and relax. The room was beautiful, clean and super comfortable. An ideal work away from home space. Reading in a hammock next to the pool in the late afternoons was a highlight. With Paternoster a 15-20 min drive away and lovely local restaurants in St Helena itself this is a must go to place to visit. I shall return many times.

The location and the unit was clean and well furnished. Marelize the host was very welcoming and had everything we could need available. Her welcoming booklet was amazing it has everything we could need and some, including distances in km from the unit, and that sparkling pool, we will definitely be coming back with the babies 😉. The view from the patio was the best

Everything was great as as others have said. But I want to point out to potential future guests how perfectly orientated this property is. Because it faces north it gets the best of the sun during the day without blinding sunsets, so you really can enjoy the view all day long. Plus it is well protected from the infamous Cape southeaster wind. The proximity of a rocky outcrop provides the added visual interest of waves breaking and birds gathering. There is direct access to the lovely shoreline path with its local flora (some with nicely annotated name tags) and birdlife. Apart from the marine animals (seals, dolphins) and birds (including the distinctive African Black Oystercatcher, of course) we were delighted by an apparently semi-resident tortoise and visits by guinea fowl and a steenbok.
