We would have loved to have stayed a bit longer to enjoy the comfort of Poppy’s lovely caravan. We really appreciated the welcoming pint of milk and yummy cookies that she provided for us. The location of the caravan is great and we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere around us. It was ideal for us as close to family living nearby.

Neil and Rosemary went out of their way to make us welcome and comfortable. Really, the whole staff were extremely friendly and helpful! The hotel is in a very charming and intriguing 19th century building. We stayed in the Austen Room, which is large and comfortable, with a bump-out set with bay windows overlooking the garden and views of the rolling hills and ocean of the Jurassic Coast in the distance. The gardens are immaculate and very inviting. There is a very nice looking swimming pool available, although we were not prepared to take advantage of it. The room is intriguingly furnished with a large and extremely comfortable four-post bed and period pieces for sitting, lounging and enjoying a beverage. The bed's mattress was just the right firmness and the pillows just the right height for a very restful night's sleep! The made to order breakfast was amazing with Neil making sure the poached eggs were perfect (they were!). Everything served was so fresh and tasty - from the fresh fruit to the yogurt to the freshly squeezed orange juice to all the ingredients of the Full English - everything was spot on! The bathroom was of ample size and the shower was amazing being equipped with a rain-shower head with plenty of water pressure to be fully enveloping. We wound up staying here longer than we originally intended because we were enjoying our stay and the hosts so much. The information book provided in the room was comprehensive and informative, giving an extensive history of the building as well as recommendations for restaurants and things to see and do in the area. The Wifi was fast and steady. We will absolutely stay here again if we find ourselves back in this area!

Little Court is a delightful Edwardian Country House with fabulous gardens, just 1 mile from the centre of historic Dorchester, and just 20 minutes from the World Heritage ‘Jurassic Coast’. Idyllic setting, and lovely cosy, quiet room. Welcoming and friendly team, and we would highly recommend a stay here - we will definitely be back!
