The hotel is immaculate and spotless. The service is incredible. + the rooms and the view are stunning and extremely clean.

Occupying levels 34-52, the Shangri-La Hotel The Shard, London offers 5-star luxury and breathtaking views of the capital and beyond. It features an exquisite restaurant and serves cocktails until late at the highest bar in London. Overall the stay was excellent with great location. However, as area of improvement, the deposit was a little higher than expected. Also, more options in SPA will be better.

Originally opened in 1889, the world-famous Savoy Hotel is situated on the banks of the Thames and less than 5 minutes' walk from The British Museum and The Royal Opera House. The hotel was once visited by the likes of Sir Winston Churchill, Frank Sinatra and Katherine Hepburn. The staff had the right balance of providing supreme service, where nothing was too much trouble and were mostly preemptive, while still being personable and warm. You can find lovely hotel rooms anywhere, but finding the right staff is obviously the Savoy’s forte.

Convenient, and one bus trip brought us into Knightsbridge, Lester square, … etc.

We are used to 5 stars such as Ritz, Bristol, Corinthia and so on but the staff at the Peninsula in London is another level. The room was also very spacious and attention to detail spectacular. Plus they gave nice things for our dog to stay in the room, bed, bowls, leash, treats, towels, minéral water, dog menu…

Bed really comfy. Coffee making facilities in rooms with decent coffee pods. Large bathroom and extra towels supplied with good bathroom products. Was there for birthday and arrived in room to find bottle of wine and cake which was a nice surprise. Enjoyed the spy bar and tour of the hotels historic rooms. Could not fault a thing!
