Originally opened in 1889, the world-famous Savoy Hotel is situated on the banks of the Thames and less than 5 minutes' walk from The British Museum and The Royal Opera House. The staff had the right balance of providing supreme service, where nothing was too much trouble and were mostly preemptive, while still being personable and warm. You can find lovely hotel rooms anywhere, but finding the right staff is obviously the Savoy’s forte.

Was there for birthday and arrived in room to find bottle of wine and cake which was a nice surprise. Enjoyed the spy bar and tour of the hotels historic rooms. Could not fault a thing!
