I especially liked the breakfast, it was great with so many delicious options. Also, being able to sit at the restaurant with an open view of our beautiful surroundings was so relaxing!

Location & Views: The hotel's location is really good. True to their advertisement, the rooms face a large, scenic valley, offering sweeping views of tea estates, lakes, and forests. The approach to the hotel involves a somewhat steep downward walk, but it is a short stretch and worth the effort for the resulting scenery. The hotel is conveniently located close to the Haputale main road. Rooms & Dining: The room was very clean and reasonably sized, equipped with a kettle and tea packets. The bed was comfortable and had enough blankets for the cold (in November). The on-site restaurant (which is the entry / ground floor) also takes full advantage of the valley view. The breakfast was excellent and had a good spread (fruits, bread, pancakes, tea) and the host also offered to switch it up with Sri lankan dishes should I wish. The kitchen even custom-made a coconut-based pancake to cater to my specific dietary restrictions, which was nice. Service: Very good service. Gamini, the caretaker, is incredibly helpful, friendly, present in case of need. When I had an early morning start at 6:30 AM, he packed a takeaway breakfast without me even asking. I also noticed the hotel arranging tuk-tuks to local spots like Lipton’s Seat upon request. In fact, the entire staff is friendly and attentive to guests' needs. Minor Notes: I initially had some issues with the Wi-Fi, but it was fixed quickly by the hosts. There was also some minor confusion regarding billing and what dollar rate conversion is used - which would be good to fix in the future, but nothing that spoiled the experience. Overall, while Vantage Hills is not the cheapest in Haputale, I felt it offers excellent value for the money. Between the views, cleanliness and the great hospitality, I would definitely stay here again.
