Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It's just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance. Yakaduru is renowned for its architecture and tourism, where guest can stay in properties built by Mud and palm thatched roofing. In the evening, we had tea on Yakaduru rock with that stunning sunset. The night was calm and beautifully lit with soft, dark lighting. We enjoyed an outdoor BBQ by the firelight. The next day, we went on a safari in a Yakaduru jeep with a great guide who provided excellent explanations about the Yala area, Sri Lanka, and its wildlife.

Super hostess who made us all very welcome. We had a room with four single beds each with mosquito nets and they were easy to reconfigure so we had two pairs of beds either the nets easy to overlap. La Safari Inn made contact ahead of our stay to see if we wanted them to arrange a safari which we said yes to. We had an experienced guide, Madhu, who collected us at 04.30 and got us back to the lodgings around mid day. We saw leopards, elephants, crocodiles, mongoose, monkeys, … and lots of beautiful birds.

We truly weren’t disappointed by all the pictures that were posted online. Especially the staff around Silver was incredibly- no wish was too much for them. We liked all the chats and that they were so helpful. The comfort of the room was 100% - especially the bed. :) We also loved that the room was so nicely equipped and clean. The communication via WhatsApp was easy and good. We would definitely recommend. PS: don’t forget about the cute dogs that were an extra highlight for us!
