Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located at Estrada das Covas nº8, São Jorge, Madeira Island, 50 km from Funchal. The location is excellent as a starting point for several hikes. Staying in Casa das Proteas was an amazing experience. The view is absolutely stunning, the breakfast is very tasty and Teresa is super kind and helpful. We will definitely come back:)

Featuring stunning views of the north-east coast of the Island of Madeira and the surrounding mountains, this 4-star hotel offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and a balcony. The reception staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was a decent size, with great views of the sea and mountains. The facilities were very good, with an indoor and an outdoor pool. The view from the cliffs was amazing. Breakfast was excellent, with friendly hotel staff and a good selection of breads, cereals, cooked food, fruit, cheeses and so on.

Situated in a restored 18th-century home, Casa Da Piedade offers a lounge with fireplace, outdoor garden with barbecue and brightly decorated rooms. Wi-Fi and parking are free. Classy guesthouse located in a in a beautiful rich garden full of exotic colorfull plants. We enjoyed lazy moments in the garden using garden furniture. Sadly it was too cold for us to use the pool. The hotel is only few minutes away from the coast with a promenade and some good seafood restaurants. it was a lovely touch to find a tray with local goodies in the room upon arrival. We also enjoyed the lounge with fireplace and comfy sofas. We would definatelly come back!

The hotel has a beautiful ocean view, clean and comfortable rooms, good food, nice inside and outside pool, spa and sauna facilities.
