We thought about doing some exploring in the area but in the end were so comfortable and relaxed that we stayed at the property each day to chill in the pool area and garden. The hosts are simply amazing. So friendly and helpful. There’s a genuine homely and family feel to the place. The evening meal was very tasty and balanced each evening and the breakfast was quite varied and generous. The location is quite remote and off the beaten track. It was a lovely contrast to some busy days of sightseeing elsewhere. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We also had a couple of friendly spiders sharing the space with us, guarding us from any unwelcome mosquitoes. The hosts were incredibly friendly, and the dinner they offered was truly unique. We highly recommend trying the real truffle pasta! It was definitely a charming stay with its own story to tell. The dogs, the terrace, the views, and the pool—everything was absolutely lovely. A perfect summer getaway!

The spacious and luxurious rooms are furnished with pleasant natural materials, while the fireplace and the piano in the bar create a relaxing atmosphere. We have never stayed in such a comfortable and friendly hotel. The room, atmosphere and the spa facilities were all superb.

We enjoyed a completely pampered stay - definitely a plus on a 10 week roadtrip abroad as the hotel afforded total downtime on what was otherwise a whirlwind tour of places we've never explored. The hotel is amazing for its location and history, and the wine tasting experience in the old castle tower was a highlight.

Wellness center Balnea near the Kristal Hotel offers a comprehensive palette of wellness services as well as facial and body care services which are carried out in the center's 9200 m2 surface area. The front desk staff are THE BEST! They helped me with a million questions, were so kind and welcoming every time I stopped by, and we're just overall some of the best, most welcoming hotel staff I've ever interacted with! The hotel itself has lovely old charm and is ornate and gorgeous, but the rooms are still modern and updated. I was in a room by the elevator but didn't even notice the noise. I had a delightful view onto the courtyard. The spa and wellness area is fantastic with many different options, both for pools and for services. I was able to book 2 services at the last minute, and they were lovely and reasonably priced. Breakfast was FANTASTIC. A great buffet with a variety of selections. I was just sad I'm not very hungry in the mornings so I couldn't eat more.
