A phenomenal stay at a breathtaking resort. From the immaculate rooms, the pristine beach (with incredible activities, the amazing pools, the great restaurants (breakfast was ludicrously good) and the unbelievably attentive staff this place has it all! The hotel exceeded our expectations in every aspect. It is such a relaxing place set in extremely beautiful surroundings. The bungalows are spacious and beautiful with the best bed we've had on our trip. The staff is incredibly friendly and the app is really helpful for information on trips etc.. The restaurant service is fast, the fish dishes are superb and there is free coffee all day. If you have time, get a massage. Mine was excellent and the setting of the spa in a pavillon above the river is wonderful. We can also really recommend the cocoa tour offered by a nearby finca.

I had an incredible experience at this hotel! I stayed in a Standard Double Room for four nights, and it was a truly enjoyable stay. Service & Staff 👏 From the Aquamarina restaurant staff to the front desk team, pool bar, and towel station attendants, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Their warm and welcoming attitude made my stay even better. Dining 🍽️ The hotel has four different restaurants, but I only dined at Aquamarina. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style, offering a wide variety of options. The average dinner cost was around 450-500 pesos. I was happy to see plenty of vegetarian and vegan choices, making it easy to find food as a vegetarian. Another huge plus was having a Starbucks inside the hotel, which was super convenient for me as a remote worker. Room & Cleanliness 🏨 My room was spotless, and the towels were fresh and clean. The hotel itself had a very clean atmosphere. The room was also well-equipped, featuring a large refrigerator, a microwave, and all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Location & Safety 📍 The location is perfect—situated at the corner of the Hotel Zone, it’s only a 5-minute walk to nightlife spots like Coco Bongo and other clubs. I felt very safe walking around, even at night. I enjoyed taking walks along the bike path—1-1.5 km towards La Isla and 2-2.5 km towards Playa Tortugas. The hotel also has a stunning beach, which is one of its biggest highlights! Entertainment & Activities 🎶 The hotel hosts nightly events, which added a fun touch to my stay. One night, a Mexican singer performed, and another night featured a dance show—both were fantastic! Final Thoughts 💯 Overall, my experience was excellent, and I truly believe the hotel is worth the price. I would definitely recommend it for its amazing location, great service, and stunning beach! Would love to visit again! 😊✨

Quiet pool didn't visit, but other quests enjoyed. . 3 bars, beautiful swing bar, main bar, and second beach bar. Disco, again, great fun, bar inside the disco as well. Staff was helpful, engaging, and interactive. Really create a beautiful welcoming environment. Room, I was in the court, room 603, loved the room. Newly updated, great ac unit, mini fridge, desk, chairs. I didnt get the opportunity to view the bungalow, however; I'm sure they're beautiful! Next time for sure. Great for family vacation, make sure to do the tour to Chichen Itza, Centoes and Valladolid. You can book this tour beforehand on bookings.com but also take note that an additional 765MXN per person is required to visit the historical sites. Your total spend will end up being around 100usd per person but its so worth it! Other than that, getting around is relatively easy, we stayed in the Zona Hotelera so many things were accessible via bus.

Nice city with an interesting historical centre and the coloured popular area of Getzemani; the Spanish city walls which protect the centre have a nice walk path "ronda. Nice restaurants and roof top terraces. the Castillo is a masterpiece to not miss and the subset from its top an amazing experience.

By far the best thing about Playa del Carmen is the close proximity to cenotes. They are amazing water filled caves that you can explore, but you'll always need to do so with a guide. Otherwise, Playa del Carmen is pretty whatever. Kinda fun if you're looking for touristy party bar vibes (like Hard Rock Cafe type stuff), but generally it feels like a tourist trap for the most part. There are soooo many scammers here and it's really hard to tell what is a legitimate official group or just another scammer. For example, the Tulum national park entrance is filled with people selling tickets and tours as if they are park employees, but they are not. They even have constructed a fake security gate entrance to make it appear you must buy tickets before entering the park area, and of course the tickets they sell are about 4x the actual price. The beaches could be nice if they weren't filled with garbage. This is likely because many street food vendors and restaurants serve styrofoam and plastic utensils that frequently end up on the beach and broken into tiny bits. So the beaches are actually quite ugly as a result. Tren Maya is pretty useless since they decided to construct it miles inland from the towns, so it just leaves you in the middle of the jungle. Overall, I mostly just felt like I was being ripped off every day I was in Playa de Carmen and the area around it. I'd only recommend visiting a cenote or two and leaving for some place nicer.

Tulum could be an easy place to avoid. The sea beaches are mostly inaccessible and are not at all worth visiting. There are few Cenotes around that are really good. Rather spend time in Cancun (for sea beach) and multiple Mayan Archeological sites in Yucatán.

Only go if you like chaos, dirt, and loud music every 10 meters. This is not a destination if you want to rest and see nice beaches. The people are completely disrespectful and drive like maniacs. Apparently is completely acceptable in Colombia to bring your own Bluetooth speaker to the beach and turn it on at max volume. The problem is that everyone has the same great idea so you end up with five speakers less than 20 meters away from you. This is not a good beach destination at all.

a beautiful city with a lot history and a modern feeling combine. good food .friendly people. we all ways fell safe you can see police pretty much everywhere. calle de las damas is a most go street. super easy and safe to walk around . boca chica is the closer beach near the citi.

Great people, very polite and cheerful. The city booms with the best gastronomy for very good orices. The malecon del Rio area is great! Many beautiful shopping centers. Great carnival museum… it’s a great city.

Willemstad was interesting but I wouldn't go again over the...

Willemstad was interesting but I wouldn't go again over the holidays. It was just too crowded. Trying to find a place to park when we went to La Reina, a cafe we loved, was very stressful. The most interesting thing is the slavetrade museum. Anyone who visits should visit that museum. It's truly astonishing. It's actually worth going to Willemstad just to see that museum.
