We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Porta Ksamil. The staff went above and beyond to help organize a small birthday surprise for my friend, which made our trip even more special. The breakfast each morning was fresh and varied, with plenty of delicious options to start the day. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be back next summer.

The property was new, spotless, and absolutely marvellous - a perfect blend of comfort and style. The breakfast served was exceptional, the staff were genuinely warm and helpful, and the entire stay felt effortlessly relaxing. Special mention, my friend forgot his valuables at the hotel after check out - the hosts were the true saviours to have reached out to us on every platform possible only for my friend to get his valuables back. Epitome of hospitality, would 100% return!

This is an excellent, small hotel. Nice, clean and spacious rooms (we stayed in a double room with balcony), pretty terrace and good position (far enough from the centre so that you don't hear the music from bars/cafes), yet close to some of the best beaches (we spent every day at Ohana beach). BUT, what made our stay so comfortable were the people who work there - everyone: the restaurant and bar staff and the girls at the reception. Thank you so much for making our stay so great! They booked taxis for us at moment's notice, and gave excellent advice on where to go and what to do. They are superb at their job.

We liked everything about this hotel since the check in and now.The room is spacious and the bed is very comfy. I did not use the pool,but the two pools were very clean and big.Everything was very near like 2 minutes walk. We even ate dinner at the restaurant on the first floor which was perfect and delicious.The staff is very kind and helpful,they gave us enough information for everything we asked about.Unfortunately we couldn’t stay more days here but for sure we will be back.

Everything was perfect. This was our second time in Ksamil so we knew the plan for the trip. It is in the end (or beggining of the Ksamil) very easy to find. Beach is very close, we had sea view. Breakfast was good, classic. Staff super friendly, like all Albania, but this was the cleanest hotel we ever stayed. Room cleaned every day, everything new, pool also cleaned every morning. Definetly recommend.

Hotel Lula was a fantastic place to stay! The rooms were clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty, with plenty of options. The location was perfect—right on the beachfront, making it super convenient. I would definitely recommend Hotel Lula Ksamil and would love to stay here again!

We stayed in November so we were totally aware it was out of...

We stayed in November so we were totally aware it was out of season and there would be limited options. We enjoyed the quiet streets and there was still a small selection of restaurants open. We also went swimming, the water was cool but still enjoyable. For us Ksamil was perfect in November but I would caution that you must be prepared for a very relaxing and quiet experience.

Ksamil is emerging as a tourist destination & the centre of...

Ksamil is emerging as a tourist destination & the centre of the town at least seems to have opted to cater for those who prefer loud music / water activities on the beaches. That said, there is a good selection of bars & restaurants both in the centre of the town and on the main road into it. The hotel in which we stayed (Area Hotel) was excellent. Public transport is ok - there is a bus every 30 mins to Sarande or Butrint BUT it is packed & an experience in itself! Fares are 150 Lek (1.5 euro) each way. Taxis are available but cost approx 30 euro each way. Although card payment is accepted in most restaurants / hotels etc, it seems as though cash is king in Albania. Local currency (Lek) can be accessed once you're in the country by changing euro at one of the many exchanges.

Ksamil is a very beautiful resort with numerous stunning beaches and crystal-clear azure waters. There are plenty of quality restaurants offering delicious food at reasonable prices. The only drawback is that almost all beach spots are paid, meaning you need to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas. The cheapest spots started at around €15 for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella, while more premium locations charged €30 to €40 per set. Luxury cabana-style spots could cost up to €70 per day. Almost everywhere accepted euros, so it was not necessary to exchange money into the local currency. Alternatively, you could pay in euros and receive change in the local currency (Albanian lek). On average, €1 was equivalent to about 95–96 lek.
