Honestly one of the best places we’ve ever stayed, both in terms of the quality of the location/facilities and food, and value for money. You can tell it was designed by an architect as every room we stayed in had spectacular views. On arrival we were welcomed with a glass of wine, and when we checked into our room we were given a free bottle of wine, hats, a reusable water bottle, soft drinks and traditional argentine snacks. Almost all the activities (which included horse riding, archery, wine tour and tasting, tennis and bike riding) were included in the price of the room, and there was free coffee and water on tap all day. Even the facilities you did have to pay for were amazing were amazing quality and value (for example the massage and facial treatments). The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (we had more than a few annoying requests and the assisted with every single one with a smile!). The staff were so friendly, let me into the room early, and upgraded me. Throughout my stay I felt nothing but kindness. The breakfast was extensive and delightful, the room was clean and comfortable, the pool was such a delight and they let me hang out there all day after my checkout. I didn't utilize the gym, but checked on the facilities. It is basic, but it has benches and mats and free weights, which must have been added since recent reviews. You would need a reason to stay in Lujan, rather than in Mendoza city itself. Visiting family in our case, or the vinyards of course. Quiet compared to Mendoza but lacking big city amenities. Unless you are an an absolute party animal you will be mistaken and your stay will likely be one of the highlights of your time in Argentina. A great area to go and explore, with stunning views up to the mountains and back over the plains towards Mendoza. We had a fantastic day horse riding with La Quebrada del Condor (ideally you hire a 4 wheel drive or you get them to pick you up) and a day hiking the Confluencia route to the base camp of Aconcagua. The excursions and the wine are the best part of Mendoza, though I would not say it is a cheap city to visit, at least not at the moment. The city itself is quaint, the trees and parks are lovely, and though we felt mostly safe, at night there a quite a few homeless around town, that make it feel a bit doubty. If you are a Foodie and enjoy wine this city is great for a 4 day weekend. 3rd week in May had great weather, 20C sun during day and 12C at night. Highlights of my stay were: -Bodega Los Toneles [ this place is a GEM ]: wine tasting and an amazing lunch at their restaurant Abrasado. Must reserve for tour, tasting and lunch!! 15 mins UBER from city. -Cerro la Gloria. 10 mins UBER from city. -Parque San Martin for a pic-nic. -Walking through Plaza Independencia, Plaza Espana, Plaza Chile y Plaza Italia. -Bike rental for the day. -Having dinner at Soberana!!!! Need reservation. Fab Barman. -Amazing for breakfast or lunch is Anna Bistro's. -Also, breakfast at Cora, has patio and inside or Rama Negra Cafe. -I very much enjoyed having a 3 hour Sunday lunch at La Gloria in Chacras de Coria [ very easy to get there in Uber from Mendoza center ] Well worth the experience. Need reservation. Get there at 1pm! If weather is good ask for patio table, WOW. La Gloria was an incredible experience and the place is beautiful.
