Perfect place to stay for a night during longer trip. Near the highway and easy to find. The room was very quiet, even though the hotel is located just next to the road. We had a direct exit from the room to the forest, which is very convenient when traveling with a dog (there's an additionall payment - 8E for a dog). Comfortable beds, nice bathroom, a mini bar and a fridge in a room. Breakfast was amazing - many options for vegans (even many kinds of vegan milk, and I always have a problem getting plant-based milk in hotels!). Very friendly staff, and a nice restaurant next door.

Historical ambience and design of the hotel is simply stunning, feels like you are a guest of the Count in the 19th century. Very comfortable bed! Different options for pillows are provided. You can choose between softer one or an orthopaedic one. Rich breakfast! Everything we expected was included. Parking right at the entrance of hotel, but was full in the evening already. Nice spa complex included in the price!

Everything about Hotel Refugium was exceptional, from the moment I arrived tired from long travels and was immediately offered a cold drink. The room was spacious and well laid out. The view from the balcony over the river and the mountains was very relaxing. Breakfast was great with fresh squeezed orange juice and local foods. This is probably the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at.

The hotel was a very pleasant surprise for us. We liked its location in the green valley of the Thaya (Dyje) river. We could enjoy the view of the river and listen to the sound of water on the stones. We slept well with this sound. Thanks to the nets, we could have our window open. The bed was comfortable. The hotel has a relatively large plot of land. We had a great time relaxing in the wellness area of ​​the hotel. The pool is not big, but it felt luxurious thanks to the color, water jets, waterfall and lights. You can use the sunbeds and swings around the pool. The restaurant offered us a tasty dinner in the courtyard of the hotel, willingly adapting the food for people with allergies. Breakfast was served on the sunny terrace on the other side. We all found what we wanted for breakfast. The staff was helpful and nice. We will definitely return to this hotel when we are in the area.

The hotel is surrounded by beautiful hills and fields around 10 minutes from any village of note which is great for peace/quiet, excellent for star gazing - be sure to catch sunrise/sunset! The surrounding area is well kept and perfect for a little stroll around. It's a very authentic feel to the extent that female staff wear traditional clothing, everyone is so helpful and friendly - special shoutout to the excellent Ivan. There's food and drinks readily available, long hours. Spa facilities - the brave can swim in the lake, there is an indoor pool which has an outdoor part too, a very well equipped gym & sauna. The spa area is open early didn't close until 11pm. Very easy parking.

I had a 19 hour layover between connecting flights , and the hotel had the perfect location for this purpose . The room was big enough for 2 adults , the bathroom facilities were spacious and the beds were comfortable , therefore I was well rested the following morning .The dining room on the main floor served good quality food and tasted good , I chose the all you can eat buffet . I would definitely do this again the next time that I come Vienna !

Dead city feeling with odd people and unfriendly personnel at Spar express and Billa and gas stations that no one speaks other than German. If it wasn't for business I would not have ever travelled there. Even at the main train station when you buy coffee people are oddly unfriendly and getting 50c change for the bathroom is a chore both in language and culture aspects. Definitely not Vienna!!

Vosendorf was conveniently situated to take tram into city centre. Conveniently the Hotel Pyramide was within walking distance from the SCS Westfield shopping centre and the tram stop, connecting to both City centre to the north and Baden town in south. Although quite an urban area it has developed into a commercial region for business whilst retaining the green areas around. Baden is a spa town & was well worth a visit as it has a pedestrianised zone. Beautiful parks leading into the Vienna woods and clean paved streets containing individual boutiques and small shops of every type & buildings painted in contrasting colours. We ate very well outside at Josefs Almkuchl.

The city is very nice, clean and offers a lot of possibilities (both for culture and nature) and good connection to Vienna and other beautiful places like Melk. We would love to come back. Our main complaint is that basically all supermarkets are closed on Sundays. Some of our favorite places were the Flederhaus and the Musik- und Kunstschule St. Pölten (see photos attached). For the food, we can recommend Pizzeria & Kebap Cimen.

Baden is a beautiful city, located just outside Vienna, with thermal pools for every season. It has small streets reminiscent of Italian towns and plenty of interesting and delicious restaurants. It's a great place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city and work. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys peace.

My daughter and I went up for the weekend to visit Xmas markets and the museum. It's a beautiful old town and we always enjoy our time there. Very relaxing and of course the Wachau is beautiful any time of the year.

Good location in quiet town not far from Schwechat airport. Train station in walking distance: Vienna downtown is 30min. by train. Clean facilities reasonably well equipped. WIFI works erratically and there is no elevator.

Semmering is a rather nostalgic place. Everything reminds of "past glory". If one likes such an atmosphere, he/she is just right. Surrounded by woods and mountains multiple footpaths invite for every kind of relaxing excursions within a green nature.
