The hotel is located a few minutes from the main road. If you are on your way to Croatia /Italy it's a perfect spot. The hotel is traditional with a lovely welcoming atmosphere. There is a lovely garden where you can have your breakfast in a sunny day. Restaurant is just opposite the hotel. The breakfast was just a perfect buffet with vegan options plus plant based milk. Possibility to receive a coffee and breakfast on the go. There is also a lift what can be useful if you have a few bags or if someone is disabled. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. Breakfest was prepared according my preferences. The place is very quiet in winter. Great bed and great pillow and duvet. Very stylish interior. Secure parking. Huge shower. Large garden - however could not enjoy it in winter. Option to buy their own local products - juices, marmelade, sirups and liqueurs. Very caring owners.

The manager and taff were so friendly and helpful. We were even picked up from the train station because we had lots of bags and it was a bit far to walk with them! They also helped us to hire some bikes and were so kind and accommodating throughout our stay. So big thanks for making us feel so welcome!!

Extremely kind staff on the reception as well as restaurants. All meals were very delicious but we also ordered a’la card dinner and this was really exceptional. We strongly recommend this experience. Comfortable beds with folding roller which made this also sofa and a very sensational “friend” :)

The location is amazing at the foot of the mountains so beautiful views all around. The hotel was great, food and comfort and all. We used the spa which was a great way to relax. The hotel lent us some bicycles to cycle around which was good fun. Most of all the staff were exceptional. they greeted us very kindly and were so nice and helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate us. It was truly an amazing experience. Thank you ☺️

The room was big, and super clean! Very innovative and modern as well. The beds were very very cozy! Which is highly important! All the hotel facilities were also very modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Omelets were a high class if comparing to other places we've been at. The team was very warm and nice, perfect English, gave us a true welcome feeling! Would highly recommend!!

Paradise for skiers. Right on slopes from tracks 2/3/4, in front is also a 1 smaller and a real small lift for total beginners. Sonnenbahn also ends real close . We loved start skiing at start 9 just by walking out from the hotel. Dinner menu was super delitious and big portions. There are 2 cute cats on site which kids enjoy. Sauna world is also great enough with 3 saunas(Finnish,steam ,infra)

The very Zentral Wiener Neustadt . The parking procedure is very friendly and no problem at all. At least at the and of April. The breakfast was not five star but good enough unless one wants other hot ones other than scrambled eggs. I did’t try though. There were traces of vegetables so a big plus 😁 all in all everything is very guests oriented . Thank you.

It was very cosy and clean, the view was amazing. We just were there for two three days, but even in this short time, we were able to relax and forget about the world. The food was so tasty, and they had a really good variety for breakfast and dinner.

Dead city feeling with odd people and unfriendly personnel at Spar express and Billa and gas stations that no one speaks other than German. If it wasn't for business I would not have ever travelled there. Even at the main train station when you buy coffee people are oddly unfriendly and getting 50c change for the bathroom is a chore both in language and culture aspects. Definitely not Vienna!!

Semmering is a rather nostalgic place. Everything reminds of "past glory". If one likes such an atmosphere, he/she is just right. Surrounded by woods and mountains multiple footpaths invite for every kind of relaxing excursions within a green nature.

Small town, very pretty, nice to walk around in.

Small town, very pretty, nice to walk around in. An hour or so from Vienna, Red Bull Ring, and Bratislava, so location is good for travel. Not close enough to any of those things to cost a fortune or be too crowded, so a nice place to get away from it all, but close enough to get back to it in an hour or two when you need to.

The small town is a beautiful "jewel box" (that's how we say it in Hungarian). I took a walk in the morning in the sunshine and it was beautiful. Mountains, rivers, viaduct. Quiet, safe and 20 minutes drive to the Semmering ski resort.

My air conditioner did not work, had the technician come to the room and check, he said just open the window, which is appaulingfor a 4 star hotel. That person should seek another line of work, the reception staff were very good. House keeping was average

Perfect place for a short winter vacation.

Perfect place for a short winter vacation. Vienna airport is 100 km away. Car rental is fairly inexpensive if you book in advance. Several ski rental shops are in the surroundings. If possible avoid weekends. Many people com for a ski weekend.

The main attraction is the nearest mountain, Schneeberg. There is a hiking pass and a special train in summer. The hike is fantastic! Best fitness you can have and a great view (if the weather is not too bad).

I was there to work so didn't need lots of tourist...

I was there to work so didn't need lots of tourist attractions etc. It was perfect, enough to see, a great helpful pharmacist (I got a cold while I was there). I stayed and the wonderful warm friendly family hotel Hotel Restaurant Oesterbauer.

August. I tried to book in Reichenau an der Rax, to be close to the elevator/seilbahn, but optimized my expenses, so I booked to Payerbach. If you would like to get in walk distance from Raxaplen Austrian landscape, lot of hungarian staff in restaurants (hospitality, professionialism 10/10). Rax seilbahn elevator is 37 EUR / adult. I used my car to travel between villages. Main goal was to get to the Raxalpen mesa with my children, and we fulfilled this goal. Ottohaus and Raxalm-Berggasthof were good restaurants to take rest. At the villages nearby are petting zoo, waterfalls, you can swim in the small river, do small hikings to watch cows. Alps feeling 100%
