This place truly is a hidden gem. We didn't make it in time for reception hours, but when I called the staff member was very warm, friendly and accommodating. She explained the check in process in detail (which was very easy). The accommodation is so homely. They leave a complimentary packet of marshmallows to use in the communal fire pit, there are free laundry services, a heated indoor pool, a games room and beautifully manicured gardens and open grassed areas. Native wildlife was abundant and it's hidden in a quiet location that is super easy to find.
Definitely worth the stay and I wish we could have stayed longer.

Although this guesthouse is a bit of old, but its maintaining is good. In addition, the location is great, just one min to Katoomba railway station and 2-3 mins to the central Katoomba bus stop.

Katoomba main strip is a little sad unfortunately and looks a little rundown and needs a little TLC. That said there are a few antiquey type shops that are worth looking through if that's your thing. There are plenty of cheap food options in the main street but there are also some very good restaurants around town that you will need to book ahead for. There are also a few good pubs and bars in town with the Carrington working on a new offering that should open soon I hope. The RSL is new and has good food and drink options in a modern setting. At the end of the day you are most likely in Katoomba for the spectacular views, great bush walks and attractions and that will always be its real draw.

A delightful Blue Mountains town. Superb valley and falls lookouts eg Govert's Leap nearby. Main hotel right in town was excellent for an evening meal. Have been here a number of times over the years and always a pleasure to come back again.

The property is modern on the inside, with well-appointed bathroom, comfortable bed and cosy shared sitting room. The breakfast was perfect and set us up for the day, with home-made yoghurt and muesli, warm croissants and muffins that arrive at your table in the comfortable lounge room. Views of the mountains make this a beautiful setting to enjoy a few days. We felt at peace from the inside out. Easy to find, well-lit even at night time. Added bonus: free wifi worked perfectly. One of my favourite ever places.

Great place to visit if you're interested in outdoor activities. It can be quite cold and windy though, even in summer, so check the weather forecast and bring appropriate clothing. Mt Victoria is a very small community, so be prepared to travel for some things - Katoomba is only a 20min drive away and has everything you would need (including sightseeing!).

This is a nice area down the road from busy Penrith.
This is a nice area down the road from busy Penrith. It is fairly quiet and generally a safe area with nice parks and walking trails. Plenty of good cafes for your morning quality coffee. Easily leave your car at the railway station and hop on the train. Excellent National Park in nearby Glenbrook.
