United KingdomNever stayed anywhere this nice in my life. We had just come off of a long bus journey late night and we were more than impressed by the room when we walked in, so clean! The staff were absolutely outstanding, let us order a meal even though their kitchen was about to close (10/10 meal aswell!) and the whole experience was just lovely. You should all be proud of yourselves!

Excellent location by the river, with easy access to Bluewater Quay walk, Fogan bridge and the restaurants and cafes along Wood St. Only 2 mins walkto Caneland shopping centre.
We had a comfortable 2brm apartment with a large king bed in one room and Queen in the other. Two bathrooms made it easy with the family. Best of all with the enormous balcony we had. it was bigger than the whole apartment!
Other than that the staff were friendly and helpful.

Staff very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were way bigger than I expected and extremely clean, beds super comfy and nice touch with the complimentary continental breakfast. Loved the outlook from my little balcony. Nice and close to town and super handy having the pub and bistro next door where I had the best crispy altlantic salmon I've had in a long time. Will definitely be back!

Staff were great, we were coming in on a late flight and the staff accommodated to this, the cooked the three of us food ready for arrival which was around an hour after the kitchen had closed, the room had a microwave and was clean.

I definitely recommend Eungella National Park at Broken River for a day trip and go to the Enugella Pub what a veiw

Sarina is a busy town with a big sugar mill, the highway passes through the main street, so it's good to locate accommodation off the highway if possible. Supermarket & good shopping in town. Beaches are nearby & quite pleasant.

Carmila was a stop over on our way north, in the morning we visited the nearby beach, beautiful! Campers and fishers would get much more from the experience than we did.
The pub was good.

Everything is really close and I just loved that my toddlers could ride their bikes everywhere. I wasn't really prepared with groceries etc so could have brought more as there isn't much around. We purchased fish and chips and pizza for dinner on our overnight stay which was good. But definitely BYO food if you are planning on staying longer. A box of cereal is $9.
I would also go check out the bowls club for a meal when we stay next. Looked like a lot of locals go there for a meal. We didn't swim in the stinger nets this time around as we didn't have stinger suits for the little ones but the splash park was awesome. Not to say - there were lots of other swimming in the nets, the water was just too warm for our liking ( this is the temperature that Irrukanji like). The water depleted in the splash park to ankle depth at 5pm which we thought was to conserve water/ on a timer; Not sure. So that was a little disappointing in summer when you want the pool end to be a little deeper. Overall we stayed in Seaforth for this reason and headed to Cape Hillsborough around the corner to see the kangaroos/ wallabies on the beach the next morning. It's only a 10 min drive, but do go early!! We were a bit late. Go at about 4:15am before sunrise as the wildlife disappear very quickly once the sun comes up.

Mackay is a beautiful coastal spot, I'm planning another trip there soon. We visited the Marina, and did some shopping at Canelands. We attended an Engagement party with family there and the venue was beautifully set up, staff were so friendly and the weather was beautiful for a swim and fish and chips.

Our stay was absolutely great. The rooms were very clean and spacious. And the ocean view from our balcony was stunning 😍 The food at the restaurant was really good, homemade style. The ladies at the reception and the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay there again and will recommend it anyone 😊

We hit it on a very wet weekend which limited our enjoyment of the area. The proximity to Broken River was great and we were all able to watch a Platypus enjoying the river (just awesome). There was ample cooking facilities and we had no issue there. The Bar stools at the servery to the kitchen was the only area to eat our meals as the front patio was unable to be used as it was more than just wet is was windy with rain constantly blowing into the seating and table area. We had a glimpse of the mountains on day 2 when there was a short reprieve from the mist and rain and on any other weekend this could have been an awesome stay. We drove to the Dam for a day out and it was a fun drive (be it still very wet). Eungella is a lovely peaceful place and the cabins provide the opportunity to relax and enjoy it. The proximity also to the Chalet was great as we use the Chalet restaurant as out primary evening meal spot. We practically had the place to ourselves due to the weather and had a lovely time. We also had a meal at Broken River and thoroughly enjoyed the burgers, waffles, milkshakes and coffee before hitting the paths to see the Platypus.
