Very pretty town quite an interesting history. Great cafes but the night life is about what you would expect. Fantastic art gallery near the river and an arts centre as well. Everything you could need in terms of shopping. Lots of cool day trips on offer as well. I would visit again but always in spring, never go in winter or summer! Water Heat running Hot then Cold made showering a bad experience Also it had a shower over Bath and when we conplained about the water we were told we should not use the Bath as it was not intended for use as thet wanted to remove it but it was too expensive to do so. Really enjoyed our hour long cruise on the “Canberra” Paddle Steamer. The American Hotel was a lovely experience with live music and great food. Lots of fantastic places to eat, any time of the day.
