Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, room was large with 2 comfy double king beds, big clean bathroom with shower and bath, very clean and modern hotel, balcony has incredible views of the ocean and islands and with some friendly cockatoos visiting us each morning. Wallabies on the lawn at sunset. Access to all pools and restaurants. Free air-con shuttle buses to marina and one tree hill (sunset spot) every 10 mins making the island so accessible in the heat of summer. Very tranquil hotel set amongst a beautiful natural background. Very enjoyable stay, we will definitely be back and couldn’t recommended this hotel enough!!

The staff were all really nice, the facilities were clean and the room was maintained really well. The pools are amazing, the pool bar was a hit! Cocktails are so good and the fruit tingles will have you happier than ever. The restaurant Inkstone was really good, the food is yummy and they do take away. The rainforest walk was fabulous apart from all the spiders but it was great to see it left alone for nature to do it thing. The wildlife were really friendly and approachable. Buffet breakfast was amazing as you can have as much as you like with a good variety of food. Love the coffee bar on site and free refreshments everywhere. Towels were also free to use. The gym was small but clean and had new equipment with a range of dumbbells. The Observatory is beautiful and you can do yoga classes there. This was a home away from home.

We loved our stay at Whitsunday Apartments. Our stay here was a dream and Whitsunday Apartments exceeded all our expectations. We chose a Deluxe room (with a view of the coral sea), the view was incredible and we were very lucky to have a newly refurbished apartment. The cleanliness was impeccable, inside the apartment there was everything you need, every day the towels were changed and rubbish was collected, all the staff were very friendly and helpful, there was a shuttle every 10 minutes that went to the marina and the centre. We could not have chosen better, the only regret is that we were only there for a few days. Thank you to all the staff, hope to see you soon.

More than a resort, it is a retreat on a small and peaceful island. The swimming pool is great, the food delicious and all the staff was helpful, smiling and just lovely. There are quite a few animals roaming free : wallabies (so cute!) and several kind a birds (including lots of cockatoos).
The food was great! We do not regret having to take the shuttle bus and the boat to get there. All kind of activities are available on site (snorkeling, kayak, stand up paddle, tennis, walking trails, etc) or can be organized through reception (the scenic flight over the Great Barrier Reef is a must).

From arrival, the staff were top notch. Charming, chatty, and really good at going about their business and helping us relax and enjoy ourselves. Breakfast was a total triumph - decadent in the quality and choice every day. The island works so well as a whole and being able to book online through the Hamilton Island app was so easy. The restaurants are different so you never felt like you are eating the same thing meal after meal.

Staying at Coral Sea Resort was truly a delightful experience. The resort is clean and tidy and we were particularly grateful for the breathtaking ocean view that the resort offered.
Despite the less-than-ideal weather that day, we were treated to a beautiful rainbow that appeared after the rain, providing us with a memorable and refreshing backdrop :)

love the location! an easy level walk or buggy drive to the shops. perfect set up for families with spacious rooms that are quite separated and a large living space for children to enjoy.

The property was absolutely beautiful. Plenty of room for our family of five with 2 lounge rooms and bathrooms. The view was breathtaking. Short walk to the marina where we did a day cruise from. Easy to find. Owners were very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend

We loved the vibe there, we came for the music festival but stayed for 9 days as seemed a shame not to take in some cruises, can recommend the Camira, but make sure you don’t have mobility issues
The stunning views over the bay and the Islands are fantastic whatever the weather, the board walk and the esplanade are really lovely.
Loved KC’S with live music every night
Handy having a woolies, bottle shop and pharmacy right in town
We were a bit unprepared for the restaurant and bar prices
We had a great couple of nights out on 1 of the islands, definitely would do that again.

Hamilton Island is a stunningly beautiful place. Yes, it is a little expensive but it is an island of resorts and luxury so you need to expect this. The days are filled with outdoor activities, eating delicious food and drinking cocktails so early nights are not a problem. The Cruise Whitsunday adventure was great and included morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. The waterways and snorkeling were terriffic !! It was a little disappointing that the Sailing club was closed on a Sunday.

Bowen is a beautiful place, a bit laid back, with so much to do. If you love nature, Bowen is a place to be! I enjoyed every moment. The beaches there are excellent! I had dinner at the Bowen Hotel (restaurant), the food was delicious, they had a wide variety too. Bowen is not too big, so it’s easy to get around. There are lots of activities too especially if you have kids. Don’t forget to pack your swimsuits!!! There are lots of beaches to explore.

Small island with limited numbers allowed. Good for relaxing few days. Family friendly. Weather was perfect. Restaurant food to a high standard.
Buffet dinner not good. Gym needs aircon. Southern end of island not renovated after cyclone. In saying that the other pool areas seemed sufficient.

Lovely place to just stop and relax, with smaller numbers than most resorts, no children and no motorized water sports, but it does need some TLC if it wants to keep its 4* rating. Getting there should be discounted if you are staying there vs visiting for the day. The day trippers tended to take over a bit so I think they should charge more for this. The restaurant serves lovely fresh food and the staff are very friendly and helpful, if somewhat transient. Was disappointed no spa service was on offer while we were there due to staffing issues.

Prossie is a great little town if you’re looking for somewhere away from the busyness of Airlie Beach. The aquatic centre and water park is free and a great way to cool off. An excellent fish n chips takeaway (Fishi’s) on the main road. Two supermarkets and walking along the Main Street you’ll see artwork on the footpath synonymous with the area. Plenty of pubs to wet your whistle but I can’t comment on other food outlets. I’m still discovering the attractions around here.

The resort is in a stunning location with great facilities. Unfortunately the resort was constantly short staffed during our 4 night stay which led to long wait times and waiting around for restaurant and pool services to open. The restaurants are also dealing with shortages of menu items at all restaurants which is a little frustrating as there are already limited options. Staff are lovely but also seem to have limited experience in hospitality unless dealing with the Fijian staff, who were exceptional!
Expected a higher level of service for the reputation of the resort.

It was useful to have a Coles store near by, ie within walking distance. The Woolworths precinct was about 3 kms away. too far, for me to carry shopping. There were the usual MacDonalds & KFC nearby. I was happy to attend the Baptist church which shared the premises with other Christian denominations. The bus service to and from Proserpine was punctual and the drivers were prepared to drive passengers to their destinations.
I found the local people very friendly & happy to chat as I passed them on my walks.

Shute Harbour is quiet, beautiful and has a terminal for trips to the islands and the reefs. It offers no shops or restaurants but by car either your own or ridesharing, or reasonable bus service, one can get to such facilities with little trouble - only 10 km to Airlie Beach, which is of course much noisier and more of a party place.
