We loved our stay at Encanto do pai and Aracatiba. Fernanda is a great host, you really feel at home in her suite. She is full of kindness and good recommendation to visit this part of the island and the beaches all around. It is recommended to talk with her prior to reserve (be careful not to book at Abrao that is 1h far by boat and 400 rls). Rooms have charming view to the sea and to the forest at the back. Breakfast have fresh fruit and home made cake every day. Aracatiba is a quiet and charming fisherman village of ilha grande , ideal to relax and take good time. Fernanda helped us to organize then a boat transfer directly to Paraty that was a pleasant option to stop in the paraty islands. Best restaurants tried : Seafood, Conves and Villa ara.

the best place i stayed in brazil! what a lovely little spot. the staff are amazing - so friendly and kind and helpful with very clean and comfortable rooms. Great showers, bed is very nice to sleep on. food is also very good too - breakfast you order ahead so its less wastage which is very good to see and the food menu for their restaurant is good too, lots of nice fish and seafood dishes. i enjoyed lying on a lounger on the deck and watching all the fishies and hearing the water in the morning. i was SO sad to leave. the water was much cleaner than in Abraao and there are nice beaches and boat trips to be done here.

I had such a wonderful stay at Pousada Porto Girassol in Ilha Grande! The location is perfect — peaceful, close to the beach, and surrounded by the lush natural beauty of the island. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and cozy, and the breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious, setting the perfect tone for a day of exploring. What truly made my experience memorable, though, was the hospitality. A special mention goes to Lucas — he is such a sweetheart! He was incredibly kind, friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. From giving local tips to making sure everything was just right. I highly recommend staying here if you want a mix of comfort, charm, and genuine hospitality. Can’t wait to come back!

This place is a dream! It is spotless clean, new towels and toiletries provided daily, room was always clean when we came back from the beach. The breakfast is absolutely superb, staff are great. I cannot recommend this place enough. Its the best hotel we stayed at in South America.
