Excellent, modern, clean hotel with comfortable beds & a great breakfast (Eggs, sausages, waffles, toast, hash, oatmeal, fruit and all the fixings etc). In-room kitchenette was well equipped with pots, pans, toaster etc. The pool and hot tub/spa was especially enjoyed by my kids as the pool room is always warm and nice. The staff was superb!! Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. They went above and beyond. Kudos to the cleaning staff! The freshly baked cookies everyday from 3pm, were just to-die-for. Free parking, designated smoking areas outside. Nice outdoor patio area with seating & bbq grill available for use. Multiple large washrooms near the pool area, and ice machines are also available. Gym is modern and well equipped. Can walk across the street to Tanger outlet where there are lots of restaurants and stores. Will definitely return with My family.

Ottawa at Christmas time is absolutely lovely!

Ottawa at Christmas time is absolutely lovely! I loved the Christmas Market and the lovely shops in Hintonburg. Downtown Ottawa is beautiful and has an incredible art museum along with amazing bakeries and restaurants. Next time I'm going to plan to go ice skating on the canal.

Lots of excellent restaurants, hotel options, shopping, and the Canadian Tire Centre for concerts and sporting events. We had lunch at Moxies on a very busy Friday before Christmas and without a reservation. Met a very professional host David, who got us in and couldn’t do enough for us. Excellent at his job. The wait staff were equally wonderful.and the food was deeeelish!

There was a strong sewer smell in the second floor hallway. Our 1st room was awful but the next one was an upgrade for sure. Ken was very nice at the check-in and for our messy room ordeal. The breakfast and breakfast lady was awesome. It was included with the room and there was a big selection of option for a continental breakfast. It was a really nice stay...if the pool would of not been broken our stay would of been close to perfect. Also there was a little area across the road with different restaurant, lcbo, winners, arden.

The location was great related to where we needed to be but...

The location was great related to where we needed to be but there were far too many issues. Essentially on the surface, the Riverrock seems nice enough but the staff appears not to care. We had issues with the internet and TV only working intermittently. The door lock was glitchy, the window, once opened, would not close, no hot water and the breakfast was extremely basic. Unfortunately, it's the only hotel in the area.

Ottawa could be nice visiting, but certainly not in the...

Ottawa could be nice visiting, but certainly not in the winter time. Parliament House is an impressive building complex, but the center block will be under renovation until 2031. Right now, it is just a big construction site. Expected a bit more from the Canadian capital.

Very nice location. Many shops and restaurants in area. Just off the 417 and over the bridge from where the Senators play. 20 minutes to downtown. Visited the Nordic Spa in Quebec. It was 30 minutes away and worth the trip. It's an outdoors relaxation area with 7 cold and warming pools, a salt water oasis and spa treatments.

Ottawa has a lot of great things to see , many fantastic museums. I was there for 5 days and wish I had stayed longer to have time to see mor.e Definitely go on a river cruise. I particularly enjoyed the Canadian Museum of History across the river in French speaking Gatineau, Quebec and the fantastic Canadian War Museum.

The hotel was close to the Canadian Tire Center which was where our concert was being held. It was clean and although the line up was very long upon checking in, the staff was efficient and very friendly. Will definitely stay there again.
