This hotel is located in an historic area, full of art galleries, just outside the boundaries of the historic centre but in easy reach of funiculaire or steps to the mighty Chateau Fontenac Hotel. Our superior room was spacious with two large windows overlooking Saint Lawrence River providing plenty of light to the room and in our case beautiful sunrises on both our nights stay. It provided all the modern facilities and amenities you would expect from this standard of hotel - high quality mattress pillows and bed linen ,plenty of storage including access to under bed for two opened large suitcases. In addition there was coffee machine, focussed bedside lighting mini fridge as well as iron and ironing board. They provided high quality occitane products in the bathroom We were able to provide a generous bag of clothes for washing and drying for CAN$25 unlike many hotels where you pay extortionate prices for each item Can only recommend this hotel for its class style and location and proximity to excellent modern restaurants

FAQs about hotels in Quebec

From Polar Bears to Jazz Festivals

The predominantly French-speaking part of Canada, Quebec is a fascinating region of strong contrasts. With stunning natural wildlife and European-style cities, Quebec features over 8000 lakes, 750,000 square kilometres of forests and 4 different climatic zones.

Its largest city, Montreal, is said to be the only place in the world where the sun rises in the south, due to the unconventional compass used by the locals. Its old town, Old Montreal, with its cobblestoned streets and historic buildings, is a real jewel and a definite must-see.

Head to the region’s capital, Quebec City, to admire the majestic Chateau Frontenac. Stroll along the fortification walls around romantic Old Quebec or try one of the over 300 cheeses produced in the region.

After an intense city break, there is nothing more relaxing than the vast spaces of nature, untouched by the human hand and allowing one to spot a polar bear, a moose or even a blue whale.

So whether you’re a nature lover keen on summer and winter sports, or a culture vulture hungry for music festivals and independent cinema, you will find all that and more in Quebec. Booking.com offers over 1200 properties so you can choose between hotels, motels and cosy inns.

Great vibrant city - with a lot to offer to people who are into arts, culture and fun --- a bit dangerous with a lot of homeless population - crazies and squeegee aggressive gangs around parks, subway stations and piazzas - cold in winter (so to visit it aim for May to Sept. weather)

Quebec City is only about 1.5-2 hour flight for me, but it felt very much like I was in Europe. The city is charming, the people are friendly and hospitable, and with so much to see and do. I went in early December but the holiday decorations and Christmas markets were just beginning, adding to the excitement of the holiday season. Most definitely will be returning!

The Cape Shrine is a beautiful and tranqualizing pilgreamge place. The Le Temps D'une Pinte is a good place to finish the day with good food, good local beers, and good service. Unfortunately and fortunately, we expereinced the first snow of the year and so could not go on foot to enjoy the history of the buildings in the downtown area, but then the snow added the beauty to the city.

The room was clean and spacious, but the amenities were significantly dated. The appliances and beds were visibly old. Furthermore, the lighting was inadequate, and there was a frustrating lack of accessible power outlets (specifically, none between or behind the queen beds). Crucially, there was no in-room safe. The digital clock was non-functional, and an ironing board was not provided. The breakfast was highly unacceptable. The selection was very limited, and the food was consistently cold, poorly flavored, and in some cases, excessively spicy. We were left with extremely few palatable choices. On a positive note, the staff were nice and polite. However, the provided internet speed was insufficient to support professional needs, such as streaming a live lecture. Considering the nightly rate, the overall experience at the Brossard hotel was significantly below its price point, primarily due to the dated infrastructure and substandard breakfast, compounded by the lack of essential amenities like a safe.
