The hotel is new (3 years) and located in the city center. My room was big and comfortable, well equipped and maintained. The cleaning was excellent, and they did everything I asked with a smile. Breakfast was great, with a variety of food and also a menu that offered some more options. Great hotel by all aspects.

Great location, easy to arrive from the train station, even by foot. Also from the hotel you can easily get to the city center by foot or nr.3 tram. The room was spacious with everything that you need. The beds are large and very comfortable, the staff was very nice and helpful. At the hotel you also have a fusball table, billiards and a gym which is quite in handy if you are coming here with friends and want to have some fun inside. Overall we loved staying here and we are certain what we will return to Basel and at this hotel.

The location of the hotel is great. It is next to the train station and the bus station (but you do need to make sure you use the right exit of the train station. The google map didn't guide me to the right exit and I was trying to look for the hotel pulling my luggage around for 15 min only to find that it is just next to the train station if another exit is used). The location is fantastic with bus station next to it too. Nevertheless, it was still very quiet. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. There was free public transportation too that came with the stay. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

The property is located very centrally with easy access to trams that are connected well to the main station and popular tourist sites. Though centrally located and on the main road it’s still a very quiet area. They had also sent very precise directions to us to reach the hotel on arrival from the airport. It’s definitely value for money. The front desk lady was very helpful and guided us whenever required with a smile.

Basel was a nice surprise.

Basel was a nice surprise. A lot of old world charm, great traditional bakeries and coffee houses. The transportation is super with trams and buses running frequently. It felt large enough without being touristy. The fine arts museum is top notch h with some great artists represented.

A great base to have when exploring Switzerland.

A great base to have when exploring Switzerland. Basel is full of history and has one of the best local history museums I've seen. One could spend the whole day in the Basel Historical Museum. From the Bronze Age to modern times, this place has it. Various restaurants and all types of shopping dot the Old Town area. The transportation system(city trams and trains) is on time and efficient. We explored Zermatt and Lucerne, while keeping a base in Basel. The international airport has easy access from downtown.

Basel is a very nice city and definitely worth visiting.

Basel is a very nice city and definitely worth visiting. Make sure to hire a bike, go along the Rhine and visit 3 countries in just a couple of hours. The Markthalle is a must. However, everything is pricey.
