The hotel provides many items in the room: mini fridge, safety box, bathrobe and slippers for the swimming pool and the jacuzzi. The room is spacious for one person and the mattress is super comfortable. The terrace of the restaurant of the hotel faces the lake with beautiful landscape. The Gütsch forest is a short walk away ( I highly recommend this), but the funicular takes you back to the city quickly. The rooms have everything you need. We were travelling with a baby (9 months) and they provided a cot, which was great, although the bed is big enough for three as well. The breakfast is very complete with good options for all. Beautiful town and lots of activities to do. We enjoyed in Trubsee and Furenalp. We regret of staying only for 2 days. Best to stay at least 5 days or a week. Good food everywhere. Generally people are friendly and very family orientated, you may occasionally find the odd old 'grumpy' , wealthy swiss person that will correct your German grammar or look down their nose at you... But apart from this it's hard to fault this lakeside town. The old town is stunning and the restaurants and bars are truly special. The lake is stunning and the mountainous backdrop is truly beautiful. Stoos is a very charismatic small village in the Swiss alps. You get their only with the steepest funicular of the world, no cars in the village. During the summer season this village only attracts people for the famous (and very overcrowded by Instagrammers and Tiktokkers) Stoos ridge hike. It is amazing and has great views but you walk in line the whole way unless you are willing to really take the 1st chairlift up there. I love Einsiedeln,because it is such a lovely village with the Mountains and SIHLSEE. It has beautiful little shops, good restaurants and coffee places with their own roastery. The only problem is with Taxi cars: none available at the centralstation,when one arrives by train. How come?? My favourite place was the MONASTERY, walking around through KLOSTERWALD and the horses there.Another nice walk to SIHLSEE. There is MIGROS with affordable food to buy and their restaurant,which serves good meals. Good connections by train and bus. This city is a short distance from Lucerne.
This city is a short distance from Lucerne. There are frequent trains that go to Lucerne and further into Unterwalden. The main attraction in Hergiswill is the glass works and its museum and restaurant. There is a boat that stops there. Actually the place is nice but the housekeeping is terrible. We stayed for 3 nights and they never actually change our towels and the worst is they never clean the room although we had the sign that needs cleaning. We have to call their attention every night . Our vacations ruin everything whenever we come back to the hotel as we are disappointed of the situation.. We had a great day but it destroyed our aura as we return..
