The owners are super nice, the view is incredible, food is great, beds are comfy, room is very clean, there were toys for our kids and we loved the private balcony with the view! It was really perfect. The only thing I can mention is that you check the restaurant prices beforehand, the dinner was very delicious but it basically costed as much as our room for one night with breakfast included.

The on-site restaurant is one of the very best in Neuchâtel. Every need we had was met far and beyond what was requested. We will definitely come back again. If you demand a hectic hotel with a spa, a pool, a conference hall and hundreds of busy travelers nearby, then this is not a place for you, but you can get this experience anywhere. This hotel is impressive for its heritage: first documented as a hotel in the 14C. But despite some intentional remnants in the building, the rooms have been modernized by a designer with excellent style and taste. No indication that the room was any older than a few years! We had a room with a small kitchen and courtyard view, but it was spacious and very quiet - couldn't even hear any noise from the restaurant right below. Murten is a charming medieval town that is worth stopping in for a night when the tourists are gone and the atmosphere is special.

The hotel is just in front of the Thermal Spa (with its own another hotel). I have stayed multiple times in the Thermal Spa hotel before, but the first time the bike Hotel. I can say that I personally liked it much more as a hotel because 1) the rooms are spacious and incredibly amazing. I was in the Double Large room. 2) there is a tennis court and a mini golf on premises. 3) nice restaurant which is not overbooked The night in this hotel was more expensive than in the Thermal Spa, but I will for sure stay in Bike Hotel next time again.

It is a good place to stay, from which to do side trips by...

It is a good place to stay, from which to do side trips by train or bus. It would be a bit cheaper than staying in a bigger city. It is not flooded with tourists, compared with Interlaken , for example. It is a pleasant town to walk around, not too large, with a view of the Alps, on a clear day.

Fantastic style and spacious rooms with an extremely comfortable bed. Due to the proximity to the highway, quick and easy to find. Strongly recommended, especially for people on a longer trip seeking a great stopover. The restaurant is closed on the weekend I was told when I arrived, but there are alternatives nearby.

It's a very attractive little lakeside town with a medieval centre, including intact and walkable fortification wall, and lots of nice places to eat. It is well-connected transport-wise for visits to nearby attractions like the roman ruins in Avenches or the (really well-worth visiting) 12th century abbey in Payerne. Lake boats ply daily (in summer) to Neuchatel.

Nice medival city - with the Jazz festival it was really great Castle to visit Nice restaurants in the old town On the beach: - good restaurant - Water Skilift even good for beginners - Childrens playground - the beach is with shallow water (small children) - you can rent Winsurfboards etc.

Neuchatel offers a tourist pass with free entry to many attractions in the canton and free public transport. Note that many places are closed on Sundays and/or Mondays. We made the most of the sunshine by taking a train to Buttes and walking in the mountains above the chairlift (included in the tourist pass), with fabulous views over the lake, the Jura and the distant Alps. We also enjoyed a morning boat trip and a peaceful walk through protected marshland at St Blaise. We loved the food in Himalaya Momo.

Lovely town on the side of the lake with good shops, restaurants and some historical sights. Beware it is very hilly away from lakeside but public transport is very good. Good location from which to explore the area by road or rail (but rail is expensive). Cities such as Bern and Lausanne are just under an hour away.
