Quiet and atmospheric this is a perfect place for those who appreciate tradition, culture and historic heritage. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Service is impeccable. Rooms are charming and unique. The on-site restaurant is one of the very best in Neuchâtel. Every need we had was met far and beyond what was requested. We will definitely come back again. If you demand a hectic hotel with a spa, a pool, a conference hall and hundreds of busy travelers nearby, then this is not a place for you, but you can get this experience anywhere. However, if you are of a type that appreciates history, subtle details, architectural nuances, and everything that is generally encompassed by one word - "l'ambiance", then Hôtel La Maison du Prussien is definitely a place for you.     I had the pleasure of staying at Bad Murten See in the Deluxe Apartment, and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had! The location is absolutely stunning, right by the beautiful lake, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Waking up to such scenic views was a true highlight of my stay. The Deluxe Apartment itself was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with all the amenities I could possibly need for a comfortable stay. It really felt like a home away from home. The room was tastefully decorated and had a cozy, welcoming vibe. The staff was exceptional – friendly, attentive, and always eager to assist with any request. It’s clear that customer service is a top priority here, and they go above and beyond to ensure guests have a fantastic experience. The hotel offers plenty of areas to relax and unwind – whether it’s by the lake or in one of the many lounge areas. The entire environment is perfect for both relaxation and enjoying some quality time in a beautiful setting. I would definitely return to Bad Murten See on my next visit to the area! It exceeded all my expectations, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

    The hotel is just in front of the Thermal Spa (with its own another hotel). I have stayed multiple times in the Thermal Spa hotel before, but the first time the bike Hotel. I can say that I personally liked it much more as a hotel because 1) the rooms are spacious and incredibly amazing. I was in the Double Large room. 2) there is a tennis court and a mini golf on premises. 3) nice restaurant which is not overbooked The night in this hotel was more expensive than in the Thermal Spa, but I will for sure stay in Bike Hotel next time again.

The corner room had no internet which was the main minus especially if you need to work.. By 15 min walk you can find a nice 100 year old cave to go inside the past. :)

    Neuchatel offers a tourist pass with free entry to many attractions in the canton and free public transport. Note that many places are closed on Sundays and/or Mondays. We made the most of the sunshine by taking a train to Buttes and walking in the mountains above the chairlift (included in the tourist pass), with fabulous views over the lake, the Jura and the distant Alps. We also enjoyed a morning boat trip and a peaceful walk through protected marshland at St Blaise. We loved the food in Himalaya Momo.

    It's a very attractive little lakeside town with a medieval centre, including intact and walkable fortification wall, and lots of nice places to eat. It is well-connected transport-wise for visits to nearby attractions like the roman ruins in Avenches or the (really well-worth visiting) 12th century abbey in Payerne. Lake boats ply daily (in summer) to Neuchatel.

    Fantastic style and spacious rooms with an extremely comfortable bed. Due to the proximity to the highway, quick and easy to find. Strongly recommended, especially for people on a longer trip seeking a great stopover. The restaurant is closed on the weekend I was told when I arrived, but there are alternatives nearby.

    Lovely town on the side of the lake with good shops, restaurants and some historical sights. Beware it is very hilly away from lakeside but public transport is very good. Good location from which to explore the area by road or rail (but rail is expensive). Cities such as Bern and Lausanne are just under an hour away.

    In summer Neuchâtel clearly has a North-Italian atmosphere to me, originating from the old town buildings, the vibes in the harbour and even home-made icecream everywhere! Prices are better than other Swiss lakeside cities, and the Neuchâtel Tourist Card makes it easy to get around and profit from sights or lake cruises.
