Booking the right hotel has always been part of our travel itinerary. Schloss, Zermatt is definitely a must try. It is located just across the main train station, 3mins away from the gornegratt railway, 10mins away from sunnega blauherd station. The main road where everything is from shops, to restaurants, and grocery is just a couple of minutes away. The facilities are amazing with a heated pool, a spa, a big balcony, and a working fridge. Breakfast choices are more than enough and are real good. Plus all room booking include afternoon tea. The staff are lovely and courteous. This hotel is worth every penny.

The hotel was amazing! Right from check-in the staff went over and above to make our stay memorable. The room was stunning, the view of the Matterhorn was like a fairytale. It was comfortable and well equipped. The restaurant was lovely - you need to book in advance but the food is great. Overall, a wonderful experience!

    This was one of the most magnificent hotels we’ve ever stayed in and easily the best on our most recent European vacation. Everything about this hotel is wonderful! The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, the room was big and perfectly appointed with a wonderful balcony overlooking the centre of Zermatt and the glorious Matterhorn peak making for the most picturesque holiday photos. The bathroom is excellent with a dreamy shower and even a two in one toilet that rinsed your behind with warm water (much better than a bidet which we can never work out in Italy!) Breakfast was also delicious and served in the delightful, old world charm dining room that also serves as the Lusi Brasserie in the evening, (and make sure you book that ahead for dinner because that was also exceptional!) And don’t miss the pool, sauna, steam room and ice room! Just fantastic! All staff were of the highest quality and in particular front desk staff member Julia was also wonderful organising our departure transport and answered all of our questions during our stay. Highly recommend this superb hotel and we can’t wait to return!

    We loved our stay at Alpen Resort & Spa! Thanks for the upgrade to a room with a wonderful view of the Matterhorn! We really enjoyed the outdoor whirlpool and all the other spa facilities as well. The hotel is close to all the shops and restaurants in Zermatt. Accommodating staff. Afternoon cake and tea. We could use the spa during our last day as well which was very convenient as our train back was leaving in the evening.

    Like everyones' review, the VIEW will just "Shock" you. There is almost nobody in the area after the last train. Enjoy the astonishing view only by yourself. Make sure to wake up and check out the morning view before the 1st train arrives. Just AMAZING view... It is a bit pricy to stay this hotel but well worth the $. The rate includes dinner & breakfast.

We had booked a matternhorn view room however the first room they gave was not good had absolutely no view. But staff was good they changed the room & gave us an amazing room.     We had exceptional weather 26 degrees and no clouds, so the Gornergrat is a MUST DO in these conditions. Even paragliding should be considered. The town isn't big, so a good walk around is a great introduction, beware of the electric bikes as you walk down the high street ! However underground there is a lot more facilities and shops available... interesting to see the old town as well (a small cobblestone area of extremely old wooden chalets).

    The prices are much more reasonable than in Zermatt, and it is practically the last village you can reach by car. So in my opinion it is very good to sleep in Täsch and travel by train to Zermatt. The trains are every 20 minutes.

    Very nice aan idyllic place if you like to relax and hike. Great place to roam around and visit other places from there. Zermatt was a bit disappointing, but it was also off season. Nice for an afternoon, but beter to stay in Randa.

    We would probably go another time to B&B Gasenried when we are there. It is a nice B&B with friendly staff and owner and they are located on a spectacular place. With a spectacular view on the nearby mountains. Also there is a free parking place. The staff gave nice tips for a good walk in the nature.

    Our experience of Blatten was amazing!

    Our experience of Blatten was amazing! We were blown out by this little gem! We went up the cable car, had some drinks, came down and some more by the restaurant across the street. From our cabin we walked down to a restaurant and had a food experience of a lifetime!

    Stunning alpine village. Definitely add Zermatt to your list when visiting Switzerland. We could definitely have spent more time enjoying Zermatt and surrounds. We were very happy with our choice of accommodation. Hotel Walliserhof is good value for the area compared to many other hotels. It had a great alpine feel and beautifully located in the village and a short walk from the train station.

    Great option for being affordable if wanting to visit...

    Great option for being affordable if wanting to visit Zermatt. A trains runs between the two cities every 20 minutes which makes travel easy. Not much in Täsch in terms of shopping/restaurants so keep that in mind before leaving Zermatt.

    Love the place, feels like going back to the past.

    Love the place, feels like going back to the past. Not touristy at all, you see the real life of the people there, bunch of different animals, from cows to sheeps to goats to alpaca! Come on, it's like an open air free-ticket zoo! Just adored it!

    Outstanding Hotel and staff! Highly recommend! The room was lovely and modernized. Enjoyed the spa and the daily breakfast. Great location just down the street from the train that allowed for a bit quieter experience. Walkable to everything.
