We have been travelling the world as a family with our three kids for more than a decade and this property is one that we will never forget for all the right reasons. Every room has a mind blowing view of the most beautiful mountains I've ever seen. The family room we booked was perfect for us. It had lots of space and lots of beds (about five beds upstairs alone and a separate bedroom downstairs). I could have stayed a week, easily. The hosts are super friendly and the restaurant is really great. Mostly, I'll remember how it felt staying here. It was a beautiful feel. Location is amazing if you don't want to be in the tourist trap areas. The hotel is in one of the most peaceful places I've ever been. WOULD LOVE TO GO BACK.

First of all I would like to thank the hostess and the host, they are friendly and very pleasant people. They are helpful and very welcoming. The breakfast is impeccable and very tasty, I felt at home. It was everything we needed. The view is incredible, birds singing, well-kept garden, everything impeccable. The room is very cozy with a great bed, everything clean and organized. I highly recommend it.

One of the best hotels out of hundreds of hotels I stayed before. Every piece of hotel is filled with style and history. We played the pool, listened to the antique radio that worked perfectly and enjoyed amazing view of the mountains. Amazing dinner and breakfast. I liked that there is no single TV in the hotel but the books and binoculars instead.

The location is perfect, close to train, bus stations. Also within walking distances to the major attractions such as Reichenbach Falls, Sherlock Holmes Museum, Aare Gorge ,etc. Breakfast was super, with variety of food. Chef Remo cooked eggs for all gusts.

Amazing historical place with well-preserved interiors and free parking. You will also get a discount for the local cable ways, etc. (Please be aware that it works only in the neighborhood and will not work in other areas)

Good touristic opportunities in walking distance, like the waterfall, Aare gorge, cable car to go to a village with very nice view of the mountains and a place to drink a coffee, even on Sunday. In town you can have a coffee only in restaurants on Sunday, or in a kind of bar which did not give me a good impression.

Despite this, the area is not very touristy compared to other areas
of comparable beauty. It is so different from other more well known
areas where the tourists/visitors are such an overwhelming feature.
The active farming community on Hasliberg is a huge positive..

Only had a brief overnight stay but found that almost all the shops shut in the middle of Saturday afternoon and are closed on Sundays. Nothing against that, but it’s not ideal for a walking holiday. And the church bell tolls every 15 minutes, all night!

Meiringen is a wonderful place for mountain enthusiasts.
Meiringen is a wonderful place for mountain enthusiasts. It is not nearly as touristic as the nearby Interlaken and offers the chance to enjoy nature including Reichenbach falls, glaciers and the Aare Gorge cozily. A perfect escape location with a real Swiss spirit.

Hasliberg area and Hotels Reuti and Twing had excellent helpful staff. Do not book Hotel Panorama, as they closed with no warning and my daughter was left stranded. Booking.com did not let us know either
