Both the room and bathroom were spacious, modern, spotless and had windows. The bed was comfortable, with nearby usb and normal plug sockets. Wifi was quick. Rösti for dinner was delicious, and the breakfast produce was fresh and tasty. Quiet, despite its central location. Free parking in front. Warm welcome from friendly owners. I would happily return!

I loved the friendly staff! The room was very clean, even though the hotel is on the road side it is still quiet in the room. Nice shower. Nice bed to sleep after long tiring day. The breakfast is nice. The food from the menu in the restaurant is just amazing, seasonal, fresh. The local wine that I was suggested was very delicious, loved both red and white. Coffee was also very delicious. Shortly, I would really suggest this hotel. They are 3 stars hotel, but for the atmosphere, food, service and the friendly staff - they are 5 star hotel!

We had a room in the pavilion (room 47). It was amazing with a terrace and a nice view over the mountains. We were travelling with our daughter and our dog. They were so kind to provide us for the dog with a nice blanket and a food bowl. The room was clean and spacious, food was good and the entire vibe was of relaxation and quiet. We slept very well. We used the pool which was cleand and refreshing. It was a nice surprise to find this place and we trully recommend it, especially the pavilon rooms up to the hill.

Modern spa hotel with everything modern, and of high quality. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The high-up location was difficult to reach with bicycles but offered a great view over Bodensee. The breakfast was great. The spa area was also great with a good-sized pool and multiple wellness rooms. The storage room for bikes was the best we experienced - in a disused hotel nearby offering a large spacious area and plenty of bike tools (which we didn't need, but could have been handy).

A very charming little castle just above Lake Constance nestle in a beautiful garden, walking distance to the lake. The rooms a spacious and very clean, the bed very comfortable. Don't miss out on the excellent restaurant! The 4 course menu is an absolut must! Modern German kitchen from local produce. Delicious! The service is very friendly and accommodating! Same goes for the breakfast: very friendly service and local breads, marmalades and cheeses.

We loved this place! The best breakfast I had in my hole life in a Hotel! We are definitely coming back. The mix between the old first Hotel building with the renovated part, access to the sauna and pool, the view to the Mountains! We had a lovely dinner as well in their Stube. I'm a repeat customer because the last time I stayed, it was a nice quiet room at the back. I got upgraded this time and had a similarly delightful, quiet room with a view of the neighboring hills. The room was large, comfortable and had period decor without being stuffy. As with the last stay, the staff were very friendly and cheerful and my breakfasts and dinners were highly enjoyable.

The Junior Suite is amazing - the room layout and size give the feel of an even more luxurious hotel. The bathtub is just exceptional and the bed extremely comfortable. I stayed at the Einstein St Gallen when I was watching Wales v France in Euro 2025. It was great to get the hotel room because the match did not finish until just before 2300. It was very luxurious, the room was very nice. Breakfast was in the conference building a opposite, maybe 25m walk.

The abbey complex is the place you want to see if you are...

The abbey complex is the place you want to see if you are interested in history: the museum, the vault and the library are amazing and absolutely worth the visit (and the price, that is even cheap). Getting around the town is easy, both walking and using the public transportation. If you arrive by car, remember that a great part of the center is not accessible, but there are parking areas open 24/7 that cost 20 CHF for 24h.

Stunningly gorgeous area with tons of outdoor/mountaineering activities to do. In the winter this would make a killer ski/snowboarding spot. My wife and I had a blast exploring the random mountain roads and trails getting amazing pictures. Just be prepared to spend money because everything is very expensive, we went to a random restaurant in town and spent 40 euro on a shredded beef sandwich to give you an idea of the cost. Most hotels are going to be 200-300+ per night in the off season.

Rapperswil-Jona is an absolutely beautifully pretty little historical town with everything you need. It has an abundance of restaurants of all types, some in tiny little cobbled back streets and many overlooking the lake. The best thing we found during our stay was the superb lake swimming area. There are purpose built changing rooms, life guards, a café, sun-decks, showers and a large protected area of the lake for swimming, plus a couple of floating deck-islands if you fancy a bit of on water relaxing. We swam every morning before breakfast, which was fabulous and really a pleasure once you got in the water. You can walk to the swimming area up through the castle.

We had a wonderful last minute trip to Appenzell.

We had a wonderful last minute trip to Appenzell. It was beautiful and friendly town. As we visit midweek in September is was less crowded and more enjoyable. We really enjoyed strolling through town and visiting the near by Eberalp Lift and walk to the Aescher Inn. The cloudy weather lifted and allowed us to see the entire valley.

Wildhaus, by its location and views, is quaint, clean and stunning. Lots of hiking can be done straight from the hotel, or you can take the ski / hiking lifts up to higher ground and do mountain top excursions, with breathtaking views of the mountains. Definitely worth a visit of you are looking for peace, hiking and beauty. There are various hotels in the area, Hotel Sonne has a magnificent menu of Swiss specialties and very acceptable pricing. Wildhaus is small and does not have much in the way of shops, and is linked by various efficient bus routes to get to other towns if shopping is important.

From this point of view the choice of this hotel in the small town of Uzwil was right. Uzwil is a small town/village. There are no special attractions. It was difficult to navigate because of the major extensive road works in the area around the Hotel Uzwil. Hotel's restaurant is fine but quite overpriced. Fortunately there is an excellent restaurant "Freudenberg" at a distance of 600 meters (you need to climb up to the hill). Coop and Migros restaurants are just nearby.

A very interesting place with a lovely old town, and...

A very interesting place with a lovely old town, and stunning scenery in the area. Particularly, I would recommend visiting the Abbey Library, a stunning place, and the three lakes beauty spot up on the side of the valley, above the town.

The location in a valley at 500m, surrounded by peaks...

The location in a valley at 500m, surrounded by peaks reaching 2,500m, was great. Unfortunately the Tamina hot springs up the gorge, and the gorge itself, were closed, but I did manage to catch the last day of the season at Heidiland, a charming place. The mineral springs spa is fabulous, where you can enjoy every type of pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and water massages, and, of course, it is immaculately clean and well organised. The tourist tax in Bad Ragaz is a hefty 4.60CHF per night. I found the locals rather cold and snobby. It's a nice place to go to if you like the spa. I did not eat out so cannot recommend restaurants. Sorry. The public transport, like everywhere in Switzerland, is excellent but buses only run once per hour.

This is an absolutely precious town.

This is an absolutely precious town. Very quaint and cozy away from the city. You can walk all over the whole town admiring the traditional homes. Very quiet and laid back. No hustle and bustle of city life. This is the place to go if you want to get away and relax at a quiet slow pace.
