NetherlandsOutstanding little hotel tucked in the tiny town of Corippo, literally at the end of the road and up the hill. Absolutely magical and charming place. We had a room with private bathroom that was very well thought out, the design mixing old and new seamlessly and leaving no comforts behind. The hosts even leave a small snack in your room. The restaurant was exceptional - best "hotel" meal we've had. Nice relaxed pace but not tardy. The village has an interesting vibe, and while tiny, it was bustling - really shows that if you build it, they will come. Felt very remote, secluded and private but only an hour or so from Lugano.

If you like walking/hiking, you're in the perfect location to go explore the Val Verzasca, departing directly from the house. That's what we've done and we could find beautiful places in the forest and near the river which were beautiful and really quiet. The breakfast was great and the room comfortable. I highly recommend this place!

We stayed in a charming two-bedroom rustic house located next to Casa Rossa. The accommodation exceeded my expectations and we had an excellent experience. The house is situated right in front of the river, surrounded by the lush nature of the valley, which provides a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere.
The interior is very well equipped, spotless clean and comfortable. The terrace is spacious, with cozy chairs, a parasol, a grill, and a beautiful stone table where we enjoyed breakfast outdoors, always with a stunning view of the mountains in the background.
The jacuzzi is excellent and offers a lovely view. The garden around the house also deserves mention:, it is impeccable, very well maintained, and contributes to the beauty and peaceful feeling of the place..
Communication with the host prior to our arrival was excellent. Another positive point was the kindness of the host, who allowed us to check in earlier since the house was vacant when we arrived.
The parking lot, located across the street, is spacious and easily accessible to the house. Public transportation is also very convenient, there is a bus stop practically in front of the accommodation. As soon as we checked in, we received the Ticino Tickets, which greatly facilitated our mobility around the region.
We hope to return on another occasion. It was, without a doubt, a memorable stay.

Rustico Luchessa is not just accommodation, it's a whole experience. An experience that wonderfully combines the present with the past. It honours the spirit of the Luchessa ancestors and the early residents of the Verzasca Valley, clinging close to the wonderful Church of Lavertezzo. Yet it also has the absolute best of modern conveniences to make every minute spent there comfortable, clean, spacious and secure. We are in awe of how brilliantly this Rustico has been renovated to modern standards without losing its history and charm.
Gianni is a wonderful host; an excellent communicator and everything guests could need has been thoughtfully provided. Lavertezzo is not just the photogenic Ponte dei Salti bridge with it's beautiful turquoise green water. For those who like hiking, there are the walks beside the River in different directions with the option to get the PostBus back to Lavertezzo. There is the Revoira Ethnographic Walk higher up into the mountainside. A day trip on the to bus to Sonongo and back is really great. A day trip to the Castles of Bellinzona is easily achieved.
We spent 4 memorable days here and we loved every moment.

The beautiful Verzasca valley is a fabulous setting for this great hotel. We only stayed for one night but enjoyed a great walk along the river, sunny skies, a lovely dinner and a very comfortable night’s sleep. Davide is extremely helpful and welcoming, both before and after our arrival.

Vogorno is a small hamlet, high on a mountainside above lake Vogorno. It is called a Hotel, but is really a guest house, a restaurant and take away pizza place. Pretty basic but clean, nice staff, good evening meals.
UK visitors, take a Swiss style 3pin adapter for the recessed socket. The normal EU 2 pin adapter will not fit into the diamond shaped recess. My research suggests this is an older style and more modern hotels use the usual eu adapter. However, in nearby Locarno, hotels are 3 times the price of this one. To reach the hotel, there is a narrow road with several tight hairpin bends, which we found great fun, but may scare others.
The people are superb.
