CanadaDefinitely worth a stay! The meat and cheese for breakfast was exceptional, even within a country which prides itself on both. While this place can be hard to reach (especially around midday, when the local buses inexplicably stop running) it feels like a time warp, and the project to resuscitate this little village is impressive. My room had low ceilings, but since I am short this was oddly satisfying rather than challenging. The dinner was also delicious and well-presented.

If you like walking/hiking, you're in the perfect location to go explore the Val Verzasca, departing directly from the house. That's what we've done and we could find beautiful places in the forest and near the river which were beautiful and really quiet. The breakfast was great and the room comfortable. I highly recommend this place!

The hotel is located in the center of Sonogno, the "end town" of the Verzasca valley. From there you can make different hikes up to the mountains. It is a little bit away from the Valle Verzasca Bridge (Influenza-Selfie-Spot), but the whole valley is reachable by car or by post bus, which operates daily every hour with stops on the way.
The hotel price value is quite good for Swiss price relations. It is quite basic, but has all what you need.
Breakfast was included in the price and was good.
Other meals can be bought there too (this hotel is also a restaurant).
We slept well in the room. :)

We had a fantastic stay at Osteria Posse! The hotel is very clean, cozy, and run by a lovely family. Serena is a wonderful and welcoming host! always kind and helpful. We were even able to check in early, which was a big plus! As a nice surprise, we also received free bus tickets for the area. The location is amazing! just a few minutes’ walk to the famous bridge, and right across the street you can already enjoy stunning views! It’s the perfect base to explore the region while feeling relaxed and at home.
Highly recommended 👍🏻 we truly loved our time here!

Everything! Very spacious, spotless, well furnished, warm and thoughtfully provisioned . Good contact with host.
Supermarket 5 mins away and lots of hikes in all directions. Stunning scenery in the valley and also from the house. One of the nicest accommodations we have had on this 6 week holiday. We stayed 5 nights. No car needed .

The room was very clean and the patio was a nice place to sit and relax. You can walk out the door to a path that went all the way along the valley into Lavertezzo. The staff were very friendly at both the hotel and restaurant. They all did their best to accommodate us only speaking English. It was a short stay but wonderful.

We had an incredible time staying at Casa Rossa! Excellent facilities, including hot tub and e-bike hire. Lovely food in the restaurant next door. Welcoming host, very helpful. Beautiful location, peaceful with stunning views! Would definitely recommend!

Vogorno is a small hamlet, high on a mountainside above lake Vogorno. It is called a Hotel, but is really a guest house, a restaurant and take away pizza place. Pretty basic but clean, nice staff, good evening meals.
UK visitors, take a Swiss style 3pin adapter for the recessed socket. The normal EU 2 pin adapter will not fit into the diamond shaped recess. My research suggests this is an older style and more modern hotels use the usual eu adapter. However, in nearby Locarno, hotels are 3 times the price of this one. To reach the hotel, there is a narrow road with several tight hairpin bends, which we found great fun, but may scare others.
The people are superb.

A quiet and picturesque village nestled under the mountains. The closest proper shop is 20 minutes away by bus but there are several good restaurants. Perfect for low-key walking or just sitting and looking at the scenery.
