This place is a gem 💎, the Deluxe room is beautiful, new, clean, with A/C and wifi, the hotel is beautiful all green full of plants every were, a small and private pool and jacuzzi that are great for the late afternoons after all day excursions, the included breakfast is perfect and enough, the location is perfect right in the middle of the main street walking distance to all Hanga Roa, But the best part is the service of every person that works in here from the 2 maids, Eduardo at the front desk and the owners Francisca, Sebastián and MariaJose are hands in helping you with everything you need, from the moment we got to the airport they pick up us with flower necklaces and a welcome drink and eatable treats, they were very helpful all week with car rental, activities, tour guides (like "Teva Haoa" our tour guide, he was great, professional but fun, with lots of knowledge on every aspect of the island), answer any question about the island, they are amazing hosts. If you are not sure yet, just book at Hare Nua.

The staff is really nice and welcoming, we had a great stay! They provide plenty of information about the island. The hotel is far enough from the ocean so you are safe in case of a tsunami alert, no evacuation needed! But still within walking distance from the ocean. We will stay there again when back in the island, thank you for everything.

The tasteful decor in tropical style, cleanliness and host's hospitality. Lorena spoke English and was always available whenever we had a question. The place is hidden behind a large gate wrapped in passion vine. The units with separate entrances are concentrated around a paved yard where it's nice to sit in the evening and watch the stars. I loved the thatched roofs! Our room was equipped with a ceiling fan and a fridge, everything was neat and tidy. We did not order breakfast, but it was available upon request. Chez Hiwa is located on a quiet street, 10 minutes from the town centre. Ahu Tahai, famous for its sunsets, is 12-15 min by foot.

This is a family-owned/run hotel that feels exactly that. You feel welcomed & valued at all times. Nicholas & Fernanda are the most helpful ‘front of house’ guys we’ve met on our 6-week trip so far. They are the best! Amazingly helpful. The hotel also hosts super-priced trips too - what a bonus!

The hotel is set on beautiful grounds with a lovely swimming pool , the staff are super friendly and very helpful . The rooms were clean and had a good powerful shower the room also had good air conditioning and had a room safe . The buffet breakfast was excellent.

Good location, just 10-15 mins walk to the town centre and the sea side. Room is clean, but the bathroom is bit narrow. The staff is helpful, he gave us a lot of great suggestions about our trip. Nice breakfast but do not have many options.

We stayed for an entire week to unwind from 2 months in...

We stayed for an entire week to unwind from 2 months in South America, but that might be a bit long if you're just looking to see the Moai. Hanga Roa was much more sparse than expected, but once you find your bearings you'll find there are plenty of restaurants dotted around and almost all of them have good ratings. There's a small place for public swimming which is walled off so it's safe, but slightly rocky so wear shoes. There was a dog there but he was very friendly! The people are friendly and everything feels really relaxed, and there's the opportunity to see the sunsets in that area too. ...maybe be slightly careful with the drinks there...the wine was fine and what you'd expect, but we had a Daiquiri in one of the seafront bars and they were so strong we nearly died. Honestly - we could barely walk back safely to our hotel after just two each and we both felt low-energy for multiple days afterwards. You have been warned.

This was a trip of a lifetime.

This was a trip of a lifetime. I recommend everyone to visit Easter island. There is so much to do and see. This is an amazing place to visit. We loved doing the tours around the island and seeing the Moais everywhere and learning about the history of the island. My favorite places were the Quarry, Anakena beach and seeing the sunrise at Tongariki.

Leave your watch and sense of urgency behind when traveling to Rapa Nui. Days begin with the sounds of Cocks crowing, the weather is temperate and the night skies are filled with stars. There are a variety of restaurants, cafes, bars for all budget levels (generally moderate priced). BOOK YOUR AIRPORT ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TRANSPORTATION (we did it through our hotel) in advance-taxi's are not abundant. We enjoyed the tours--make sure to see the sunset at Ahu Tahai and the sunrise at Tongariki!
