Amazing location, right by the Volcano and the rainforest. The hotel has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay: comfortable rooms, amazing pools & hot springs, a nice bar area and a restaurant, and a really nice breakfast. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Jonathan in the restaurant area. Strongly recommended for a nice stay where you can enjoy the incredible nature and spend some relaxing time!

Got the thermal suite at a super good deal on Booking.com and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The private thermal pool was just amazing - soothes our tired legs after all the hiking. But even if you don't get the suite, you can still enjoy the public thermal pools which looks great too. Bed was ok, wifi was strong enough to stream videos. Their restaurant serves yummy food - the shrimp risotto is to die for!

We did a tour of Costa Rica and it was probably the best place we stayed, beautiful new rooms, little modern kitchen, beautiful shower and jacuzzi! The view from the top balcony (each room has one) is breathtaking. I have never seen anything like it! Friendly staff, easy to communicate via what’s up any time! 10 minutes from the Arenal volcano.

Everything perfect. This is the place you wanna be. We come back for sure, but longer for sure. Ferm our room we could see tucans, mockingbirds and several other animals. Just amazing! Stuff excellent and free coffe and water at the reception.

    We had a fantastic time at Casa Luna! First, the receptionist who's there in the evenings - both when we checked in and paid the bill - is so nice and professional! I should have asked her name to make the message more personal but THANK YOU! Everybody else in the hotel, restaurant and spa staff is also incredibly courteous and professional. We booked our excursions with the hotel via WhatsApp in advance and everything worked perfectly. The room was comfortable, quiet and the shower powerful. The breakfast was lovely, many high quality options. The same restaurant also serves excellent lunches and dinners. The pool area was gorgeous, also featuring a warm water jacuzzi. We also had some treatments in the spa, wonderful, the treatment room had an open view into the lush garden with its natural sounds. Last but not least: we had to leave very early (5:30am pickup) and the receptionist took a note of it upon our arrival and got us breakfast boxes to go. It did not even occur to me to ask.

    Hot spring pools were very enjoyable in the rain. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and soft. The room was pretty spacious. We tried both restaurants and preferred the one on the 5th floor as we liked the fish offer there and the ambiance. The pool bar and cocktails weee great, especially the margarita with salt and chilli peppers. The receptionist remembered our names and called us by name everytime when we needed something, which was a nice touch. Entire staff was very polite and friendly. The hotel is close to Arenal attractions

    The Gardens and birdlife were amazing. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was so delicious, and the complimentary breakfast was exceptional. The jacuzzis were beautifully relaxing, and pool was sparkling clean. The distance from town is several km and a steep walk up hill on your way back, so we hired a scooter to get around, which was good. The bed was comfortable. Amazing open air shower, and a lovely deck off of the room which looked out into the rainforest and gardens.

    The centre is not over touristified. A few good supermarkets. A good variety of food options, with some good Sodas. A lot of accommodation to choose from. Nice Central Park. Many activities to choose from, and easy to get transport to them if you don’t have a car. The Mundo 12 zip lines can’t be missed.

We saw a Capibara but most other wildlife is best viewed in the early morning. There were a lot of orchids in bloom along the trails. Going to EcoTermales Hotspring was the highlight. It's a gorgeous naturally constructed spa with layered pools, waterfalls all built with stacked granite rockery, bridges and pathways connect the pools, and there's plenty of seating, an open bar that serves the best mixed drinks. The restaurant served fresh healthy assortment of seafood and meats with veggie dishes with dessert at Lunch. The water was fed from the natural hotspring, which was circulated , refreshed constantly with fresh volcanic water. Attention to the holistic elements of nature were throughout. Staff and Service were top notch.

    We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving...

    We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving to Monteverde for zipline tour, we chose one day of pampering rather than adventure so did not hike around Arenal or paddle board on Arenal. We did white water rafting between Puerto Viejo and Fortuna. We did waterfall repelling near Fortuna (amazing). The people are friendly and the area is lovely. We enjoyed a night time nature tour with our hotel (Noah's Landing) and Nayara Gardens was amazing. We saw plenty of sloths but so much more! We went to the Mistico hanging bridges on a rainy day which worked well-it did not matter. We also visited the Fortuna Waterfall (500 steps down-then 500 steps up but worth it!) If you like adventure- there is plenty. If you want to relax-it is a beautiful place to do so.

    This is a great area to experience Costa Rica and the wildlife. We visited Mistico hanging bridges (great with a guide as located creatures we would not have); La Fortuna waterfall (no guide needed); Sky adventures (aerial tram, zip lines & trails); sloth guided tour; Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails (day pass with lunch) - all of which we would recommend!
