It was a pleasure staying at Hotel Savana. The building as such is just beautiful and the rooms are very special with a great view. Great location in a very nice little town. We enjoyed it a lot!!! Great location and view, very beautiful hotel, pool area and rooms and above all the most friendly staff and manager/owner you can find. Diner and lunch were also very good, they only offer what the fishermen have catched that day which means everything fresh!!!

The staff especially the owner Toni were so helpful in arranging transfers and organising our stay. The room was very nice and the swimming pool was great. The evening we stayed there coincided with an amazing event celebrating Women of Cape Verde with a banquet, disco and excellent live musicians. Toni helped us plan our walking tour to Alcatraz and Faja which was excellent. The hotel's location is good if you are planning hikes in the area (which is cooler than most of the island) such as around Estancia Roque and along the coast. The paths are well marked. Finally Toni made sure we got back to Sao Filipe ok when the normal aluguers werent't running as it was a holiday. I wish them all the lu ck in the world in making the hotel a success.

I can recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Sao Filipe. the location is great, next to the beach and in the city center. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast very tasty. But most of all the friendly staff will help you out with anything. we rented a car at the reception, they picked us up at the airport for free and helped us out with our next stay in CV. Will definitely cone back here if I have the opportunity!
