The apartment was incredibly spacious and tastefully furnished. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. The host was very friendly and accommodating (we even had the opportunity to use the SJ Hotel in Ebeltoft for a day trip – it was wonderful). The location is set in one of the most beautiful and popular neighborhoods of Aarhus, yet the nights were calm and relaxing. Truly a hidden gem in Aarhus.

Really beautiful hotel and increadibly friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is right next to the dome so you are in the city center and also in 5 min walking distance of the port. Room is very spacious, nice, bright, the bed is comfortable. It was clean. The hotel is a bit old, the whole ambience gives the impression of the 90s, which in the end did not seem so wrong to us, it was nostalgic. The hotel is designed in such a way that most of the rooms are on the ground floor. Our room faced the parking lot, but there was no noise at night. There is a coffee machine in the room, which is great. The wardrobe is practical. We didn't use the pool, it looked ok, but I don't know how the water temperature is. There is a free parking lot in front of the hotel with plenty of spaces, the hotel is located in a quiet area, close to the sea. The walk in the surroundings was beautiful, with a view of the Danish beaches and typical houses. At first impression, the breakfast seemed very minimalistic, but it turned out to have everything you need for a good hotel breakfast , it was also delicious, so i like it a lot.. Fresh bread, delicious vegetable and egg muffins, pickles, paprika, butter, honey, eggs, tea, coffee, jam, still warm cinnamon rolls, watermelon, melon, etc. Since we arrived late in the evening, the reception gave us instructions on how to collect the keys. everything was fine and easy. The hotel could be renovated, but I still had a good time, especially because of the delicious breakfast.

I didn’t know much about Aarhus before visiting, but wow – what an amazing surprise! The city has such a friendly and cozy vibe. Everything feels calm and easy, yet there’s so much going on. The locals are super nice and always ready to help, which made my stay even better. I loved walking around the Latin Quarter with its cute little streets, colorful houses, and cool cafés. The ARoS Art Museum was incredible — especially the rainbow walkway on top! You get the most beautiful view of the whole city. Getting around Aarhus is super simple — you can walk or bike almost anywhere. It’s clean, safe, and full of good energy. I really felt like I could live there! If you’re planning a trip to Denmark, don’t skip Aarhus. It’s a perfect mix of culture, nature, and that special Scandinavian charm. I can’t wait to go back one day!

Old timey city center with some half-timbered houses and generally traditional architecture. The streets are kinda narrow which gives you a comfy feeling. The rest of the city is very spaced out, however, which is to say everything is pretty distanced from each other which means you have to get used to walking, and the trainstation is 10-15 min walk from the city center. I think the best way to describe Randers is that the local H&M doesn't have a male section but they have a very modern cinema. Food was fine. 20 DKK beer at the old irish (Pilsner).

The location was perfect, the host communicated very well, the accommodation was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shared bathroom was a new experience for me and although the sharing system worked perfectly well I did feel a little uncomfortable with the arrangement; I am aware that this probably just says more about me than about the accommodation which was excellent overall.

Our holiday in Odder (8 person holiday home at Vesterbergvej 16) is not what it should be! For the weather you are not responsible, but you are responsible for the holiday home. The rooms were not clean and in common, the home was not neatly cleaned: the beds were not neat, there was dust in all corners, the bathroom cabinet was not cleaned, the shower is full of rust, some plates and cups and glasses and casseroles were still dirty, the coffee maker contains a moldy filter with coffee in it so we cannot use it, everything is mixed up in the garbage bins outside, the whirlpool controls are almost totally broken, ... We choosed this house because of the whirlpool and the sauna, but as it is now, we don't dare to go in the sauna...

We visited the sky gardens in the centre of Aarhus which was stunning. Would also recommend at least 4 hours to visit Den Gamble By. Ebeltoft has a central area of old half-timbered buildings and cobbled streets which makes it a pleasant place to be. There are opportunities for long walks and a wide range of activities. Plenty of nice places to eat at all times of the day. The harbour area in the old fishing port is a nice place to stroll and relax.

Skanderborg is a smallish town in the West of Denmark, far from Copenhagen, but the area is beautiful and a great base to visit other places in Western Denmark. The thriving city of Aarhus is only 20 - 30 minutes away, and there are plenty of attractions within an hour of Skanderborg

Bustling, pretty coastal city which is very easy to get around on foot. Aarhus felt relatively safe even after dark. Just one word of warning, like all of Denmark Aarhus is expensive, think London prices and significantly more in some cases. The old town of Den Gamle By is amazing and well worth the entrace costs.
