I had sea view room (which was very spacious) and luxury to sleep every night with sound of ocean! Location of hotel is perfect for travelers like me who is looking for peace and quiet, but still couple minutes walk from all restaurants and bars. And it’s right at the beach so you can walk barefoot from your room for sunrise / sunset Hotel was so great that one day I decided to stay in the property and do nothing enjoying the atmosphere instead of going to a tour! It's walking distance to the harbor where all the tours/ferries leave from. It's also walking-distance to an amazing free snorkeling spot. There was no AC but we didn't need it. We were very comfortable. The wifi was fast too. Martha didn't speak English, but we were able to communicate via translator apps, and the owners reached out to let me know they'd be able to help if needed. Martha was SO NICE and accommodating. It was a 15 minute walk to town where the restaurants are. We paid to rent bikes in town since one of the bikes at Chez Manany was out of order. The room was very clean. walk across the street you are at a beautiful beach. Street is lined with restaurants and tour agencies. Coral Blanco has a beautiful sitting area. Plenty of filtered water. It isn't a fancy hotel but it's a great place for a few nights. I don't recall the tour guides name who was selling tours at Coral Blanco but he had worked at a as a tour guide in Quito. Puerto Villamil is a beautiful friendly port! Easy to get around. At all times the surroundings felt safe & clean. Food was very good, lots of variety. Quiet relaxed stay. Loved how relaxed the pace of life was. A highpoint was the availability of good inexpensive food. For an excellent quality restaurant, el cafetal was great! The beach and ocean views from our hotel were the best. We loved snorkeling at Concha Perla. We enjoyed the different activities and places to visit in Isabela, I think the Sierra Negra Volcano, and the tintoreras tour are the best. Taxis used to charge much more than in Santa Cruz since they charge by people, not by ride.Guest review byJuanEcuador
