It was a pleasure staying at Nour El Balad. It’s beautifully decorated and feels very authentic. It’s quiet and peaceful, the staff were friendly and the food was amazing. We had both breakfast and dinner which I highly recommend. The surrounding area is beautiful and the locals are very nice. Highly recommended for when you’re visiting the sights on the West Bank.

I found this hotel on the list of the 50 Greatest Hotels by the Daily Telegraph, and it really deserves to be one of the top 50. There is nothing remotely comparable in Egypt. Beauty, attention to detail, service, and genuine staff. I will definitely come back for a longer stay.

Great view overlooking Habu temple, a genuine highlight on the west bank neglected by the big travel companies. Great night sky. Even dinner served in house on demand. Clean and tidy room; sufficient hot water; terrace view of the valley; super friendly and helpful owner. Easy access to West Bank attractions, even by bicycle. I rented bicycle and booked hot balloon through owner with reasonable price, sparing me from dealing with potential scammers outside.
