View coming up to La Vid monastery was very impressive. Easy friendly check in. Room spacious and very clean. Good food in the restaurant including the breakfast. I enjoyed being able to go for a good walk along the river straight out from the Monastery premises.

Actually we were only looking for a place to stay over night on our road-trip to Portugal but we were surprised to find such a pretty hotel. We even had our own little balcony. Furthermore, the food at the restaurant was really good. Looking back we wish we would‘ve stayed another night.

What a wonderful place! We were really pleased to have discovered this hidden gem in the Spanish countryside; we were looking for one-night stay on our way back home, and we discovered a whole lot more. The Quinta is named after a convent that was there long ago - remnants of the old walls and façade have been preserved and are impressive to see. The Quinta is discreetly located in a very quiet place outside Castrojériz. We did not hear a thing and spent a very restful night there. Very comfortable beds ! The welcome is personal, and very warm. Parking is inside the walls and therefore secure. The Quinta is surrounded by a very nicely designed garden and fruit orchard, with views of the surrounding fields. We were there in winter, so we did not enjoy the gorgeous outside garden and lounge areas - must be fantastic in the warmer months. There is also a very nice spa, we saw it, but did not use it. Everything looks brand new, perfectly maintained, spotless clean, really impressive. There was a nice fireplace in the central unit (where the reception is), beautifully and warmly decorated. It's more like stepping into someone's livingroom. There is no 'bar' as such, but there is a very well stocked do-it-yourself 'shop' with all sorts of drinks (soft, but also great wines, beer, etc). Just write down what you take, ad enjoy it anywhere in the Quinta. There is a separate restaurant, next to the wellness area, where a local chef cooked us up great dinner, as well as breakfast. This Quinta exceeded our expectations in a every way. The staff is incredible.

We had the superior suite with a little enclosed veranda over the entrance to the hotel and the bar’s courtyard. The room was huge with everything a traveler might need. it was the largest bed we ever slept in and most comfortable. The spa bath was after a day of travelling. We had room service after our spa which ate in our enclosed veranda. there was also a balcony. Lots of parking across the road in the car park. a lovely garden fir strolling next to car park. The wine themed decor was quirky and fun. The staff were lovely. Breakfast was plentiful and constantly replenished. They have a bar that’s open most of the time and an interesting shop. We would come again. You
