Having stayed in dorm-style albergues while on the Camino, I can only say that this place was like heaven. Excellent location for visiting the major points of interest, with the added convenience of a laundromat nearby (Openblue La Serna). Bathroom amenities such as shampoo/shower liquid soap and a hair dryer much appreciated. There were bottles of water (gratis) in the room's small refrigerator. Streaming services such as Netflix an added plus!

We loved the location of this booking.

We loved the location of this booking. It was close to the cathedral, and restaurants. However, it was quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. There were several restaurants that were open early enough to get a yummy cafe con leche.

Leon is a tad touristy but still retains some of Europes most beautiful Archtecture not least of which is the Cathedral of course - built with a population supposedly around 5000 leaves one in awe at what was built … and where the money came from . The modern side will entertain the shopaholics ( you know who you are !) but the cultural bit can be done in a few days with ease . Restaurants cater for all .

We loved the cathedral.

We loved the cathedral. It is one of the most beautiful in Europe. You visit it with an app that you get to keep on your phone. A lasting memory. Everything in the old part of town was easily accessible. You don't need a car to get around. We had a great meal at Casa Pancho & at Los Blasones. The food was delicious. Loved the market place, the monastery (Cartuja de Miraflores), all the statues, especially El Cid. People were friendly. Just a nice place to be.

Beautiful city. Very well kept. Fabulous parks. It felt thriving. Lovely architecture. Friendly people. Many people spoke excellent English. Good food. Plenty of paid parking facilities. You need a permit to park on residential streets, so don't park there.

Logrono on a Saturday was packed with party tourists, the bridge into the city center was closed, and police were monitoring the main bridges into the city. Crowds of people refused to even move off the streets to allow me to get to my hotel. Several pounded on the hood of my car, as if I was daring to intrude on their taking over the streets. The police had to escort me into the city to the hotel and even for them, the people did not get out of their way. I am sure there are charming areas to the city, but it is absolutely not a place to drive to and parking is in lots across the bridges, not exactly welcoming to those who wish to stay the night. Maybe take a bus tour - I certainly will not ever go back. I did not even go out to eat anything. As a solo traveler I am not intimidated by big cities, big crowds, etc,. But this is supposed to be a charming small town. Did Rick Steves do a show here? These were not English speaking tourists - mostly Spanish and French.

I was pleased with my time in Arzua. I was tired.

I was pleased with my time in Arzua. I was tired. It was a long hard walk with a 40 lb pack on my back, so reaching Arzua and having a clean comfortable bed with a private bathroom and the promise of a hearty breakfast the next morning was a bonus. Also I learned that I could have someone courier my back pack to my next destination was a very welcome piece of news.

O Pedrouzo is a small town on the way to El Camino De Compostela. We only needed to stay one night and that was enough. I'm not sure if there were much to do in town. We tried two restaurants El Bule and Galaicos that serve traditional Galician food. Prices were fair and food was good.

It was amazing to arrive in Portomarin and dip my feet in the river. It was the best foot spa experience I have ever had. Great spot to rest when walking the Camino from Sarria. There was a couple of people singing and playing a guitar under a bridge and that made the whole experience even more romantic.
